You are reading way too much into that one line. Maybe try reading the rest of what I wrote in this thread for some context because you definitely have me confused.
I’m just going by the ‘official’ documentation. We can’t know for sure how many were bought vs. how many were stolen. You could be right. But I also know from experience that a tiny minority of black people are more than willing to sell the rest of us down the river for their own gain.
His source is more credible than a Huffington Post article . You still haven’t refuted Blocks claims . The Huffington Post doesn’t even go into any detail about anything . Try again
Psst, Block provided a link that talks about how African slaves were captured, you’re person is suddenly quiet. Just saying.
Sure.
I don’t want to get into oppression Olympic, bring up the Final Solution to the Jewish problem, etc.
According to what I’ve read it is true. Most of them were debt slaves or prisoners of war, and the people who sold them didn’t know what they were sending them to.
Nah I don’t think so. The fact that so many of them go out their way to either act like the slavery didn’t happen, or they try and exclude Blacks who have Native ancestry from joining the tribes suggests otherwise.
Dude, most American Indians did unspeakable things to each other before they ever laid eyes on a white man. Chattel slavery was an improvement of their humanity.
In Canada, during the late 1700s and early 1800s, Aboriginal slaves doubled the number of African slaves in Canada.
Here is a similar and shocking article from TheRoot (4 years ago) from the esteemed Henry Louis Gates, Jr. titled Did Black People Own Slaves?.
Let me clarify. Any active military member should get a buzz cut. Then hair would no longer be an issue. You don’t join the military for their sense of fashion.
They should just take clippers and buzz the heads of all new recruits. Problem solved.
Is this in the same way that all Muslims need to bear responsibility for ending Islamic terrorism? Y’know, because they’re more likely to be heard and respected than people with other religious views?
Obvious dismissive troll is also obvious troll. A few stories above this is a story calling the 10,ooo hr to become good at something is a myth. Lifehacker and their sister sites have posted quite a few articles backing up the positive side of this theory over the last year.
I think they colluded in the exact same way all the gas stations in town manage to have the same price— they just look out the window and see what the other guy prices at instead of calling and plotting.
He was the idiot who opted out of his contract without a plan on who was going to sign him. All the teams are just coming to the same conclusion that the media circus and off the field negatives outweigh his on field contributions, no collusion required. I don’t know if this is a PR move for him or he actually…
How does a guy who basically quits his job then calls other future employers slave owners and expect to get a job. When does personal responsibility come into effect here. Have we even heard from him besides cryptic tweets in a year?
I love the guy and I think he did a brave thing, but this is foolhardy.
Proving collusion seems like a big task here.
Plus I don’t even know that it exists.
Every owner knew what hiring Kaepernick would bring; a micro version of the shitstorm Trump has been raining down on the league these past two weeks.
He’d bring a…
