The internet is the public square in this modern age. Just like the KKK has a right to march, so to do these folk have a right to web access. You don’t have to click on their links or visit their site or attend their rallys, but you cannot silence them.

“blood is not thicker than safety.”

I’m not surprised. Jezebel staff seem to think that being antizionist means they must also be antisemitic, or at least that they must not appear to care too much about Jews. Hence this article not even mentioning that the attack targeted a Jewish restaurant.

I was shocked that they didn’t cover this, and also how flippant some comments here are about the victims. Really, really strange. I guess Americans are too worn-out from their own political disasters?

The reporting on this incident has been....a little strange? I don’t understand why Jezebel waited hours and hours before even acknowledging it, and then only to say the suspects had been killed. I would’ve normally expected a post on the attack itself within a few hours, and then a follow up later about the suspects.

I’m admittedly pretty ignorant about politics in Spain. Do they have a large anti-immigrant, islamophobic, nationalistic movement?

Spain? Where’s that? I’m sure that its not nearly as important as the good ol’ US of A.

Why the pivot?
