That’s absolutely the best thing about Alamo. We don’t have one locally, but I’ve seen movies at them a few times when traveling, and it’s exactly the kind of experience going to a movie should be. Even without the food, it’s amazing not having to stress out about whether you’re going to lose the “asshole who thinks

They show first run and indie movies and classics all of the time. I am pretty sure they are able to survive this based on their core customer base alone.

Partnering with Broadway/West End theaters and production companies would be a start. Regal has been partnered with The MET for years now distributing opera and ballet performances nationally. It is great for people who would otherwise never have the chance to get to see these performances live.

Yeah, I like theaters for the big fan experiences. Seeing movies like Endgame are great when you can revel with the audience reactions. Movies that define popcorn flick are what I want to see in a theater. But for most dramas or comedies, I’m just as happy watching from home.

It never fails to amaze me how the middle-men always think they’ll be in business forever, and cry foul when someone figures out how to make them unnecessary.

I’ll still go to big releases like Star wars, marvel and avatar, but beyond that I’m pretty much done with going to theaters.

WW84 will support 4K HDR on HBO Max.

Free parking is hard to come by if you're downtown in most major cities.

I could understand staying home to watch it on your nice big living room TV with surround sound, but a tablet?

AMC claims WarnerMedia is attempting to boost the success of its streaming service at the expense of beleaguered theater chains.

This. And we won’t have worked out a useful set of pronouns in 1000 years? And no, it won’t be “they”, which in this particular context was very confusing given the whole Trill multiple memory thing.

I don’t see any evidence to support this. The telescope was way past its expected operating life. It barely survived funding cuts back during the Obama presidency and was operating on a lifeline budget long before the latest rounds of hurricanes. And it’s hardly the only scientific facility to suffer a similar fate.

Well in comparative terms it doesn’t. Your testing it against other adhesives that when removed, can leave behind residue on the surface of whatever you used it on. Where in the case of this new adhesive when it sublimates it leaves “no trace behind” on the surface it was used on.  So while in the grand scheme the

As someone living in PR while this is going on, I’ll be the one to go “neener neener” just a bit because, conspiracy or not, news stations and people investigating the telescope have been using drones every day for the past month to both inspect and keep an eye on every inch of the area. So it’s probably more a case

“Except for the gas, which you’re now breathing in. C’mon, Andrew. You went to high school, didn’t you? Shit just doesn’t disappear.”

It’s only Dec. 2. What makes you think 2020 is done with us?

Everyone’s sad but wow look at all that amazing data just captured of a real world complex failure event!

That seems like a lot of words, when you could just say, “I hate Discovery, I will never like Discovery, and I only watch the show because my life is empty and hating something gives me something to do in my boredom.”

The They/Them moment was another perfect example of how the people doing this show don’t understand Star Trek. Its a thousand years in our future, that conversation and a “I never told anyone” would not be needed. It would just be normal. We never had to have a moment where Geordi felt proud to be a black man in
