i think it’s smart to ignore racism and sexism when the game takes place in the future, in outer space and where money and access will be more divisive than ever.
I think it makes perfect sense, in the internal logic of the game’s universe, that racism and sexism aren’t a factor. It’s the ultimate conclusion of corporate power - your identity doesn’t matter, only the value you generate for the company’s bottom line.
Heck yeah, I’m truly heartened to know the game deals with labor and class so openly. So many games limit their critiques of capitalism to “big corporation EVIL” and leave it at that. I get your frustration with the way it ignores racism & sexism, but I also kinda thing maybe it’s for the best that they limited their…
This is what people are getting wrong, it’s not about their relationship, it’s about how others will harass her (his wife). She is also a streamer and he doesn’t want people jumping into her chat/community/social accounts saying Ninja was flirting, Ninja is cheating, you’re getting played, etc. He is a minor celebrity…
TL;DR it’s none of your fucking business.
But what if his wife asked him not to.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t, might as well not try eh? Or MAYBE watching people stream video games is fucking stupid.
I hate all these streamers but seriously why is this guy obligated to stream with anyone? It just seems like everyone is looking for an excuse to be mad.
You must have missed the part where they were offered the slot, agreed to it, then pulled at the very last minute and not given a reason. This after advertising to their audience and spotlighting PAX. That is as shady as busines practices come.
They don't care about any of that. All they want is refunds for their fans. That's it
Chris is a liberal and the podcast is apolitical. This article seems so misinformed. Calling Chris a conservative talking head is insane.
Funny. I just saw a video about the most famous nintendo games’ musics being 1:1 copies of actual real music from the 80's. I find that a lot more revolting than this knockoff.
It must be comfortable, living in a world where you think people are constantly lying about their problems.
As someone with a diagnosed mental illness who takes medication, I’m actually offended more by the nay sayers taking issue with the skin. I’d bet you most of the people (not all) speaking out against it don’t live with a mental illness themselves.
Well, as a person who suffers from depression, bipolar, and anxiety, I don’t feel attacked. I like it, actually. It’s his best skin, maybe tied with the Talon epic skin. I don’t really see a reason to be upset. He’s a villain. They’re not saying all mentally ill people are like him. They have a host of villains who…
Welcome to Kotaku lol
Oh noooooo
Yeah, fuck the complainers.
the overwatch community needs to stop sucking itself off.. its just a game... if you are triggered. well...too fucking bad....these characters represent themselves ...not any specific gamers ,even if they have relatable backgrounds ...
I really wish people could keep their personal lives out of a devs game/character…
