Congratulations! Enjoy your new Volvo YCC, a concept car designed by women, for women! Women love it because only a mechanic can access the engine and the fabric panels and seat cushions can be swapped for other colors, allowing them to accessorize!

I guess I should have clarified I'm Asian-American in my previous post. And yes it makes me a bit sad/uncomfortable. I am not outraged, but it's just a reminder that this is how a lot of people in America think about Asian people.

Hear that everyone? I know we were all really excited to "do" this nice gentleman, but some of us are simply too fat! It's incredibly disappointing, I know, but he's made his choice and we should all respect that.

Asians from Asia are different from Asian Americans. What an Asian person finds cute, an Asian American person might find upsetting.

Ah yes, look at how obese I am:

I also want to point out that sometimes it's Asian people in America that are uniquely attuned to these stereotypes. When you've been fetishized, stereotyped, or called racial slurs, potentially well meaning things can take on an uncomfortable undertone.

Like pain meds are an example of male privilege. They are just figuring out that men and women have different responses to pain and different reactions to pain meds. :(

Well, thin privilege is having a medication tested for effectiveness on people of your own size. I actually DO think this is an example of thin privilege to an insane degree—that the creators of this drug (and the orgs that approved it) apparently didn't even think to test it for women over 165 lbs is pretty crazy

This can't be a legal activity, right? Bears maul people.

We get it. You want to sleep with teenagers.

1. Tinkering is no longer possible

Bah. Just last Sunday I switched my summer gearshift knob (billet) to my winter one (the leather number from a Mustang). Sure it's not much, hardly a thing at all, but I was completely enamored with the stupid thing for several hours (like I am every year)

I teach 16-year-old girls. People underestimate them far too often.

As a victim of both physical and sexual violence by a loved one. I'd like to express my opinion, for what it's worth^^

tiny cherry tomatoes in a sandwich are a taste sensation because the flavor has nowhere to hide

Animating women and girls is so hard.

You still owe me a 27 second car

I like this as a basis for a new meme.

please add this pic the the article. Shows the car from another angle at the end.

Its not necessarily the religion though. Women can drive in every other Muslim country in the world, Saudi Arabia is an anomaly, not the rule. Its due to how cultural traditions dating back to paternalistic pre Muslim Bedouin society have survived into the modern era mixed with Islam to create a wholly unique

As a woman I don't quite understand why losing to us is such an emasculating process, except where it is an indication that no matter what "equality" men think women have achieved, women are only allowed to become "almost" equal, even subconsciously.
