My fixit guy recently commented in the early days of the pandemic that the Covid-19 Task Force was “doing the best it could.” You know, the days when the Feds let the states fight it out for PPE and test equipment while also competing against those same states. 

Plus immigration isn’t an issue that a lot of non-tech business people talk much about (though TTO uses lots of legal & illegal immigrants in the US). There are a lot of topics that don’t become relevant until you are a candidate.
