The military would not be in charge of removing him from office (though they would be able to cut off his access from all the dangerous stuff). That is a civilian law enforcement issue.

Yes, it matters because Sanders had to go through the primary process with Democratic voters. Sure, they would have formed behind him if he won, but he would have been missing some of the mainstream support along the way.

It’s moved a bit since then... 47.6% each at about 6:45 am EST with Clinton having about a 35k lead in popular vote. Still 3 states to call, though I’m not sure how much of them have their votes already captured in the totals.

He did run a helluva campaign, but being accountable for the whole ball of wax is gonna be tough for him.
