Better than LaToya! *Clap clap clap*

I like how he helpfully explains that weed and marijuana, are in fact, the same

Fuck right off.

B-? Fuck right off

Along with Bonnie Tyler's I need a hero. Those two moments made it real!!!

No LCD Soundsystem? Fuck right off.

India will always be a relatively liberal nation breaking its own norms and traditions in favor of inclusiveness. The right wingers want a homogenous Indian identity to further their agenda but they have and will always fail because the basic idea of India is rooted in diversity.
The BJP winning at the center has more

I read it as Michael anyway :)

Now we're on to something

Honestly, the ubiquity of mediocrity in Indian media worries me. The mainstream filmmakers like to pretend they're Truffaut Rohmer and Godard in the 60s in Paris but really they've just figured out a way to point the camera in the right direction. To quote a friend of mine

You should check out Gulzars Mirza Ghalib and Kirdaar. Nukkad was pretty decent so was Dekh bhai Dekh. Mirza Ghalib especially is a show I don't see happening today at all- free reign given to one creative genius. Like I said , I was too young when these shows were on the air but I'm discovering some gems now an d to

I was way too young to watch any of the DD shows in their original run so there are no rose tinted glasses here. My statement is a result of catching up on the old shows via DVD or online. I specifically refer to shows like Bharat Ek Khoj, Malgudi Days, Kirdaar, Mirza Ghalib etc.

The translation by K.Raghavendra Rao seems to be the most ubiquitous. Time to take the plunge I guess.

My grandmother keeps recommending it to me. She read it in the original Kannada and the Marathi translation, but my search for a decent English translation was futile.
I would highly recommend Irawati Karve's Yuganta which is a superb rational analysis of the Mahabharata. Reading it in college was one of the defining

cool, thanks will check em out

The British=White Walkers duh….

Coiuld you recommend some more Hindi books? The last time I read any Hindi was in school and that was about 10 years ago.

TBH, it's one of the best fucking songs ever done in Bollywood. Shah Rukh and Malaika dancing on a fucking train to A.R Rahman and Gulzar? Can't beat that
