Hate to say this, but power lifting has an ENORMOUS mental component. If your head's not in the right place, you will never get that bar to move. The serious top-end guys have all sorts of little rituals to get themselves in the right, hard-cranked, super-focused headspace.

Cab drivers, heavy truck drivers, delivery drivers, bus drivers, and basically anyone else who drives for a living will be out of work. Body shops (way less accidents mean less work), service departments (less cars on the road means way less work), car dealerships, car parts stores, etc will dwindle as less cars

Clean retail per NADA is circa $49k. Car was worth circa $60k new.

Assuming these numbers are correct, their insurance company owes them circa $49k minus their deductible, and nothing more (barring gap insurance).
