There’s absolutely zero chance you ran a 7-minute mile for 5 straight miles routinely, but could hardly break 6 seconds in the 40-yard-dash.

Subpoena Sondland and when he refuses, charge him with inherent contempt (i.e., arrest and jail him until he complies).

This.

“Bush made it clear that he and nobody else made the big decisions.”

You may not have parented a toddler recently, but you clearly still know your stuff.

They were also the very last team in the entire NFL to integrate.

Snyder and Trump are buddies, and Snyder donated more than a million dollars to Trump’s inaugural fund. So, yeah, makes sense.

Eh. Allen is probably the better football mind, but that’s only because Cerrato was suuuuuper dumb. Both of them are shit, though.

Spot-on. And I remember people used to say “Snyder wants to win! Say what you will about him, but he spends all this money because he wants to win!” Uh, no. I mean, I’m sure he’d like to win to talk shit/brag and get accolades, but mostly he exists to generate revenue. And as long as that franchise continues to be

He does (did?) have a substance use disorder (alcohol), and they claimed he had a relapse, then used that as a pretext to fire him. My thinking is that if you have an employee who is really good at what he does, but has some extenuating issues that could affect his job performance, you try to help him attend to those

Gruden was a decent offensive coordinator at one point (bolstered by a dynamic young McVay’s playcalling). Seems like an affable guy. That’s about the best I can say about him. Glad he at least gets paid and Snyder has to eat that money (not that he minds).

Thanks for the response. No offense taken.

Schiavone had to work with David Crockett back in the day, so for me it was easy to respect and enjoy his work. Crockett was a raving lunatic fanboy, and I’m not convinced he didn’t think the entire thing was real life.

Haven’t watched the NFL in a long while, but...McCoy is still on the roster?!? Fuck me.

True. Shanny wasn’t a big RG3 guy from the jump, I don’t think. Ostensibly, he had control over player personnel at the time, but I think there were whispers that RG3 was a Snyder pick.

Extra points for “shibboleth.”

As a kid, I remember being so confused when Boogie Man would grab Schiavone and give him a prolonged kiss on the mouth. “Dad...what just happened? Why did he do that?” My dad always chuckled and shrugged: “Because he’s the Boogie Man.”

I’ve always thought Schiavone was better than Ross, dating back to their days together at JCP.

Goddamn, I missed Tony Schi-von-toe! [apologies to the Boogie Woogie Man]

I’m an old guy who grew up watching Jim Crockett Promotions (among other promotions). I don’t watch WWE, and only vaguely follow goings on via reading stuff here and hearing stuff from my nephew. I hate McMahon with a passion and I hate WWE in general. I hear NXT’s product is good, but I boycott it on principle. I got
