I don’t follow that closely, though I have seen a game or two and have heard about Rapinoe previously.

She’s pretty awesome.

He was a prick to me in the comments section of his article a while back, and we debated some stuff back and forth. He eventually called me a racist (in no uncertain terms) and stormed off. But he did not gray me, so I don’t think he has any issue with dissenting opinion.

Trump is good for business, and business has no conscience. So he stays, and his tweets stay. As usual, money talks.

Never saw this Cornette promo before, but it’s gold. Frankly, I don’t think I knew he spent time in WCCW prior to coming to JCP. Thanks for this clip and the new info.

The best part about this is the Shoney’s reference. Definitely provides   verisimilitude.

“Some guys are insecure about their physique and try to make themselves look bigger by standing and walking with their feet really wide like they’re bowlegged.”

I have four things to say:

As a 10-year-old kid, I remember my father telling me he saw Dusty, Tully, and Flair together at a professional baseball game.

I ain’t got nowhere else ta g--.

It’s real. My old next door neighbor believed it and so did my own grandmother.

Yeah, I’m interested in this. I think Joshua has a ton of heart, and he got up off the canvas against Wlad to come back and win. But having Ruiz stop him in the manner he did, it will take something special (mentally) for Joshua to process that, internalize it, and come out the other end a better/stronger fighter. I

Rumor has it that Joshua got starched in sparring during training camp. I think he was mentally shaky going into the fight, and possibly still suffering from some post-concussion symptoms. Of course, all of that could simply be rumor, so who knows the veracity of such claims.

Unless I’m mistaken, I thought a rematch was codified in the contract they signed. Maybe Joshua takes a cupcake in the interim to beat up on and regain some confidence before seeking out the rematch. Don’t know how they’ll work it out, but I think Hearn will push for these two to clash again.

Poor choice of words/phrasing on my part. See my response to Greekish, re: same topic.

Fair enough—apologies. I was speaking colloquially, and of course Ruiz earned all that he has from his performance that night. I meant it more like, Joshua may have slept on Ruiz (as a last-minute replacement to Jarrell Miller) and Ruiz caught him early with that shot to the temple that AJ never fully recovered from.

Nah, just the second night. When Magnum came hobbling out to ringside, the place went nuts like I’d never heard before (and the Baltimore Arena always went nuts for Crockett Promotions). I remember seeing grown men tear up when Dusty and Magnum embraced.

We’ll see. Joshua would have to fight a much smarter fight, strategically. He should stay behind his jab and use his length and reach to stymie Ruiz when he presses, coming forward. But I think either another commenter or author here at Deadspin noted: Joshua seems to prefer fighting at mid-range (using uppercuts and

Man, this is gold.

Damn. I never watched Dice’s original stuff back in the ’80s, but a couple of years ago I stumbled upon his show “DICE” on Showtime. I thought it was actually a funny, kind of quaint show about the has-been Diceman living on the fringe of Vegas in a rambler with his fiance. It was a simple, funny show and Dice
