It’s gotta be Maidana, right?
It’s gotta be Maidana, right?
Ha, that sounds about right!
Lomachenko is just silky smooth that, as you said, I can’t see many guys in his weight class that could even push him that hard, let alone beat him.
I would love to see a Mikey/Loma fight, if Mikey can still make 135 healthy. I think Loma is a virtuoso, but I think Mikey could potentially pull it off.
I hear you. Did you know Big Baby Miller tested positive for PEDs? His fight with Joshua is off, which is a huge blow to DAZN at this point.
Eh, too big a gap I think. Loma is already stretching it just by fighting at 135. I don’t think he gets any more effective at ’40.
Nice column. Love me some Bud Crawford. Such a cool customer, and a killer when he senses weakness. I hope boxing politics don’t screw up the showdown with Spence that we all want.
Don’t ever violate the Stringer Bell rule.
Fuck, I don’t know man. Maybe it’s just cynicism, but I can’t shake this sinking feeling. Ever since the Barr’s synopsis of the Mueller report, I feel like that stymied momentum from the left and renewed those on the right (see: “total exoneration!” etc.).
No, I get it. I know his approval ratings have dramatically declined, as I mentioned in my previous response to you. But even with the decline, the approval/disapproval ratio is still essentially a toss-up in many of the swing states. Hence, my “he’s essentially where he was in 2016" comment.
His base support, as long as it doesn’t waiver, automatically puts him in spitting distance of winning another election, depending on how a few key swing states vote. It’s always going to be close because of the electoral college, but after 2016 I’m not putting much faith in polling. Most of the non-base folks who…
I hope you’re right, but I just don’t see it that way. Trump’s base support hasn’t budged an inch.
He’s going to beat this “no collusion/total exoneration!” shit into the ground and ride the wave to a 2020 reelection. No need for nuance or facts in this day and age.
Man, this is so spot on. I still liked/enjoyed watching, but I was often unnecessarily confused at when/how/why something was happening, and—as you said—that was due in large part to the material being presented in an intentionally confusing/nonlinear way.
I’m familiar with that statue and the seemingly well-grounded legal reasons for the request by the committee. I was going off an article where a number of legal experts prognosticated about the release of Trump’s tax returns:
We better get used to the idea that we’ll never see Trump’s tax returns. And there’s only a sliver of a chance any congressional committee gets to see them.
How the fuck did you have a good time at FedEx?!? Even with a parking pass, the traffic to/from the stadium is just abysmal. It’s never worth it. A simple football game takes up like 12 hours because of that shitty-ass stadium and it’s insane, bullshit-ass location.
“WHY is this bombshell act of aggression not being mentioned in any way shape or form by anyone in the administration?”
At first glance, I literally thought the picture at the top of this article was a bit from a Saturday Night Live skit or something. Joe, fuckin’ relax, guy.
But he has already done that the last go round. His stock-and-trade has always been a whataboutism. During the ‘16 election, whenever a new accuser popped up, he’d simply point to Bill Cinton and shout.
