What’s crazy is both sides (right and left, politically) have sworn to boycott the NFL for the last year or two, both stemming from the anthem protests (for disparate reasons, of course). Yet somehow, nobody seems to actually be tuning out. Buncha bullshitters.

Very good read. Glad you got out of there with your health. Your insight will be invaluable to your children.

Jaggers was great when he tagged with “Dirty” Dutch Mantell as the Kansas Jayhawks.

What about Bill Watts’s UWF? Cornette’s Smoky Mountain Wrestling? Gagne’s AWA? Georgia Championship Wrestling?

I’m sorry you’re in pain. I hope you’re able to forgive them, and I hope you open yourself up to the possibility that they did the best they could against a disease that alters a person’s chemistry.

I’m sorry for your loss. You are not alone.

There are many, many reasons to take issue with Cobain, the person. The fact that he died by suicide isn’t one of them. It’s a serious mental health disorder that requires treatment and support. He was at the mercy of a disease.

The guy who wants to watch football but doesn’t want to support Goodell and the NFL machine: watch high school football. Dom, I think you may have misread part of the NFL’s letter.

Yeah, I imagine it’s fairly similar with MMA. I know it sounds pretentious (to watch on mute), but really it’s because I’m susceptible to the narratives being laid down by announcers, and I can get hyped by a crowd going nuts just like anyone else. It’s really so I can try to watch with some measure of objectivity and

Not for boxing. If anything, crowd noise in boxing can make you think you’re seeing things you’re not. You get a popular boxer who throws a shoe-shine combination where nothing lands, but the crowd goes ape shit and the announcers laud the fighter for a flurry of unlanded punches.

“Proof read” is one word.

I was going to say this. The house always wins in the end, and Floyd is no different from any other degenerate gambler.

I think Lomachenko has gone up far enough in weight. Any further and it’ll spell bad news for him.

I had Loma up by 2 points as well.

Great book.

This. This is the only correct take. You trust your corner with your life, literally. This is such a betrayal that I’m astounded.
