Truckers are bad now? I’m sorry, but I can’t accept that.

Has anyone ever withstood censure from the Woodstock generation’s artists? I don’t think so. Woodstock remains a bottomless well of moral authority. It’s the ultimate cultural trump card.
Neil was at Woodstock.
we do have Neil and Joni to thank for this particular thing, but that doesn’t mean everyone who’s was born around the same time as them gets to take credit.
Spotify is running up the white flag. It’s the beginning of the end for Rogan.
These Texans talk a good game about secession and armed resistance to Federal authority but few of them could survive a winter in the mountains of Oregon. Lots of communist hippies did, and we were prepared to fight the Federal government too.
Frozen firewood? Come on. You have to keep your firewood dry to survive winter. Any old hippie who lived in a commune in Oregon could tell you that.
I was a Maoist in the early 70s so I have mixed feelings about these games. Mao was a hero to lots of Boomers during the Vietnam years. Our goal was to overthrow capitalism and put something more humane in its place. Maoism seemed like the best option at the time.
It’s time for Mark to admit the metaverse was an ill-advised attempt to garner a youthful demographic.
We Boomers are still here and just as relevant as ever.
Mark has been getting terrible advice. That’s the only explanation for this “metaverse” nonsense, which is a futile and wholly unnecessary pursuit of a youthful audience.
Woodstock, man.
What is Tomato? Is it a slang term for a Boomer?
If you were at all capable of introspection you might ask yourself why Neil and Joni wield the moral authority to lead a movement against Joe Rogan but your generation’s artists don’t.
You forfeited all credibility when you wrote Joni Mitchell is not a progressive intellectual leader. Joni literally explained the meaning of Woodstock to the whole world with one song.
Of course it was Neil and Joni leading the way. Boomers, like me. Par for the course.
Zuck is pushing this weird “metaverse” nonsense as the core of Facebook’s rebranding. Apparently he wants Facebook to be hip and youthful instead of being identified with seniors. That sounds like a big mistake to me. We seniors are Facebook’s core audience and we do NOT want a radical redesign.
This is a disaster for us seniors.
The poster is weird and rude but he’s not wrong about black revolutionaries needing white allies to win. It’s a simple question of math. The Black Panther Party knew there weren’t enough black folks for a revolution and partnered with the Weathermen and other like-minded white radicals.
Essentially accurate, if indelicately phrased.
