As may say 76 but Pretty sure it’s a 74.  the grill most definitely is

Because after 72 the only place you saw the gremlin character was the gas cap and this car has a generic black cap. In. 72 the had the character as a badge on the fender.  

You know your gremlins well.  Also if it is a 76 it has the wrong grill
