I wanted a GR Yaris. But Toyota blew that so I bought a Bolt and I'm not looking back. My only regret is that I only have two middle fingers to fly in the air.

Username does not check out.

Why do you think it will drive better than the Bolt? The husband and I are consistently shocked by how well the Bolt handles and how much fun it is to drive. As far as I am aware, no one has driven a Mach E yet, but I do know that the Bolt is 1000 lbs lighter according to preliminary figures for the Ford’s lightest

Yeah, when I was commenting earlier I was only looking at specs and features. It wasn’t until just now that I looked closer and saw that interior. I will have nightmares tonight. PS the curb weight is allegedly 4500 lbs.

Light blue isn’t my favorite color of all time but it is my favorite of the given choices, and Grabber blue is WAY better than the Nitrous Blue on my old Focus. It’s a classic Mustang color that has been around for decades and I think it’s decent. I’d still go for some FCA Plum Crazy, Sublime, Go Mango, etc. if given

You’re right; there is a lot more than just the paint to justify the cost. I know that I’m in the minority in wanting an extended battery RWD model, but for me specifically it would be a $16 upcharge for just the paint and would be a downgrade in other areas. At least I’m assuming, since we’re still waiting for

It’s funny you bring up the Soul Red. I put off buying an ND for a full year because I was waiting for some interesting colors to come out. Soul Red never did anything for me and Mazda finally released Racing Orange so I jumped on it. I just personally can’t get excited about any dark reds, metallic, tri-coat, or

That is true. Helpful for most people but it wasn’t on my radar because we’re not getting the car back to fully charged before the Bolt hits the road again so it would still have a negative impact on range. Until we get a real Level 2 charger installed, at least.

I was going to bring up the Focus RS because that was the example I was most familiar with. Highest trim with every option ticked, color being the only choice. It did help that it was several thousand dollars cheaper than MSRP in the States, but it would still be irritating for those who, like me, didn’t want Cup2

I always wonder why Canadian market is treated so differently in the context of cars being offered in both countries. Either the abundance of options or being better equipped for the same price seems par for the course for all of the vehicles that I’ve looked into.

Thanks for this. We haven’t done a winter in our Bolt yet so I don’t yet know firsthand what it will be like. Our 16A home charger is only just keeping up with the husband’s daily mileage so I have some concerns about colder weather.

Heating the interior of a car using resistive electric heating is VERY expensive, whereas heating just the occupant(s) through the seat surface is much less of a power draw. EVs without heated seats (or with owners that would rather not use them) see massive drops in range during colder months; as much as 40% from

I don’t see a way to get heated rear seats at all. I don’t see that in any package or in any trim. Heated front seats are optional ($2600) for the base trim and included in the higher trims.

You can only get colors on the GT trim, which is currently unavailable. All other trims are greyscale and Prius red only. And the $16k upcharge is a steep ask just to get non-anonymous colors.

The colors all suck except for Grabber Blue, which is GT-only. After fiddling with the configurator for all four trims, the Mach E is a no-go for me. It’s too expensive, I have to pay for a bunch of crap that I don’t want to get the larger battery, and heated seats aren’t even standard, which is critical for an EV in

Why would I fly when it's only a 16 hour drive?

If you define “Modern” as post-box-phase 2004+, I have a 2005 S40 that has gone through two whole engines due to timing belt failures before the service interval. With a 120k service interval, the first belt went at 100k and had an engine rebuild at the dealership. Then that rebuilt engine went at 145k. It’s

The common thread with my office seems to be children. Those with kids are DESPERATE to get back into the office and those of us without any disease demons are perfectly happy working from home indefinitely. I had pretty solid opinions before, but this whole quarantine situation has solidified my assertion that people

They’re still afloat, so they’re exceeding expectations!

Neutral: One case is a major outbreak. That’s why all ~2000 of us are working from home for the remainder of the year. Since we do design/engineering and not manufacturing, there just isn’t any reason to risk it and return to the office.
