Can we talk about the bad "Santa Baby" covers? Madonna was okay even though she clearly did it during her Breathless Mahoney phase and over-sugared it but Taylor Swift? If you're too young for John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhall then I can't even describe how wrong it is for you to be hitting on Santa who is not only

I was born a poor Black child.

Holy crap! I just looked up the lyrics and this is a very different song. I always heard it as a "Black man with a black cane living in a blind man's home" and it never really made sense that he remembered when the woman could stop a clock although he, obviously, could have a memory of it without having seen her. This

Go big or go home, baby!

But still within the country of Africa. :)

I like this. I'd also be fine with sending Bob Geldoff.

Do they know it's Christmas? Well? Do they?

Also "Let It Go" because people don't realize it's not a holiday song and they play the hell out of it. I worked at Walmart for two Christmases and now I even hate "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses.

I'm on a major X Files kick right now and I'd like to see if the FBI has information on the color of lipstick Scully was wearing especially in the first few seasons. Also, do the seven murders in Browning, Montana remain an X File and was that particular X File truly the first one and created by J. Edgar Hoover?

My dad liked "LA Confidential" and he liked very few movies. He was like the Mikey of cinema.

I was thinking he was in "The Full Monty", to which I won free tickets that I essentially paid for anyway by receiving a $25 parking ticket for not moving my car by 8am but which I still recommend, but that was Robert Carlyle who is also in Ravenous.

Pi was a great movie. I started watching it on Netflix because of the nerdy title and the bizarre synopsis and enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Not sure which of the other movies you mentioned would be a good double feature. Pi and Babe: Pig in the City? I'm thinking not.

Release the snark!

Or as the youngsters say "I can't even with this". Never mind. I say that too. But I shouldn't cuz if people my age say it then that means it's over.

I went to middle school and high school a long time ago. (Mid to late 70s.) We studied "I Am A Rock" and "Richard Cory" by Simon & Garfunkel in one of my English classes. I didn't realize teachers still did this crap. My heart also goes out to those who were saddled with Don McLean and Billy Joel. Also we got to watch

I have never ever under any circumstances liked Tom Cruise and I will dislike Ben Affleck forever because of "Chasing Amy". When people say he is the greatest Batman of all time, I respond "Bullshit. Chasing Amy." I'd rather have Michael Keaton again. I'd rather have Michael McKean.

Is it behind a door bearing the sign "Beware of the Leopard"?

Susanna Hoffs was the reason so much money and time was spent on liquid eyeliner by girls and- possibly- boys who had no business going near it. Eyeliner, false eyelashes and other make-up might be primarily responsible for the bounce the economy made in the 80s. If you throw in the lavender eyeshadow Nick Rhodes and
