Yes, it matters.
Yes, it matters.
It’s gotten to the point I don’t even enjoy “based on the true story” movies anymore. So many of these films take far too much creative license. You go to wikipedia after the film and discover that critical elements of the stories were fictional. What’s the point of a film like this except for people to talk about it…
And, many people can’t afford (or at least think/feel like they can’t afford) healthier options.
What a day!
I guess the word I should have used was “recognizable” -- unless they really did make up their own variation for this movie, but I couldn’t find any discussion of that.
Not knowing what linguistic choices the filmmakers made, I can only point out here that Latin descended from proto-indoeuropean. A language that was spoken at the earliest about 7000 years ago (and one that also spawned English, Sanskrit, and Gaelic).
It’s definitely Latin. At one point Keda calls one of the other cavemen a “dorkus malorkus”.
It’s as silly as her being from a different (generally more affluent) bit of the country and probably also reminding me of someone I clashed with in my previous job (I hate being told what to do).
Nowadays when I read the phrase like “lawmaker who dropped pants, screamed racial slurs”, I expect it to end “unanimously elected to the US Supreme Court”, so this is good, at least.
At the time, Jean-Claude sure did feel like an A-lister. But looking back on his career, not so much.
This movie sounds pretty interesting!
As long as the guy who invented the damned thing pronounces it “jif”, I don’t see why people are still wasting time and effort on this already settled discussion.
So perfect.
I remember borrowing this from the local library. Because Ewan duh. Thought it was great.
but the company itself is a total basket case.
That’s BS and you know it. This article is full of gratuitous snark, even though what you’re reporting on is actually positive. Meanwhile, when you report on negative things, there’s none of those “the Model S/X, in particular, are awesome, genuinely” disclaimers to counterbalance.
Of course, it’s possible for both…
The reality is indeed that the VAST majority (dare I say almost 100%) of us who have received our Model 3 deliveries love the car and have zero regrets — but any positives like that are relegated the the last sentence of most Jalopnik articles and, even then, preceeded with the equivalent of a “can you believe it?”…
You guys get a lot of shit for always posting negativity about Tesla and never anything positive. Even when the news is somewhat positive, you feel the need to add disclaimers and caveats to show that it’s not really all that positive (not to mention a shit-ton of snark to make clear to everyone how dubious you are).…
I’m sorry but I thought it was hilarious. Something so darkly funny about all the ‘subversives’ just being casually offed left and right that I just can’t explain. Also, best Steve Buschemi performance in years. Loved it.
Or woman.
Made in Heaven is also very fondly remembered...
