This is a myth. Sex offenders and pedophiles can definitely be helped, and they are not always going to reoffend.

Script wasn’t perfect, but the good outweighed the bad for me; to me, it was the best film of the year. I haven’t always aligned lately with all of the critical favorites. I hated 3 billboards, for example. Hated.
When I was a kid, my grandpa used to catch crabs in the San Francisco Bay, bring them over to our house, where we put them in the bathtub, until the boiling time (sigh. I know). They were so delicious. I will always love crab. Lobster, not so much.
Blade Runner 2049 was my fave movie of the year, and it did get some technical love, but not even the AV Club liked it much as evidenced by this article. I don’t get it.
It’s really hard to know what is true. Children (and adults) can have memories implanted by well-meaning adults (like with all those horrible prosecutions of daycare centers in the past). So I think Dylan (and by extension Ronan and Mia) definitely believes she was abused. But you can’t ignore the terror that Mia felt…
This show really needs to be an hour long.
A) I like Joel Kinnaman. B) Sometimes I just want some fun junk food for TV. Also, junk food while watching TV. So I’m in as long as it’s fun.
I loved BR2049, but agree, Harrison Ford (and associated plot) did not add anything.
For some reason, my husband prefers diet coke over coke zero; I think he finds coke zero (and regular coke) to be too sweet.
Many reviews still put the Instant Pot as the best; they were the originator of this modern pressure cooker type. Also, they’re an independent company, which is cool.
Reading elsewhere online, people have not had luck with the slow cooking function on IP. Slow cookers are basically dumb appliances (that also heat from the bottom, so I don’t think that’s it) that are on or off at low or high (no real thermostat), like a pot on the stove over a low or high flame. So the food…
I haven’t tried the Steam function; does it work differently from the Pressure function? One site said Steam heats faster since there’s no food touching the bottom of the pot, but I don’t know if that’s true.
whoa, 9700 ft! Where are you?
For hard boiled, use the provided steamer rack or a better one that can hold more, 1 cup water, and cook on low pressure for 13 minutes, quick release. You could also do on High pressure for 5 or 6 mins, but I read online that low pressure was better for less-chalky whites, and I haven’t done my own test. FYI, I have…
I posted about this on the poached egg thread, but I find the instant pot to be the best thing for hard boiled eggs. I don’t know if it’s because I’m at altitude (5600 ft) or what, but NO method ever results in easy to peel eggs. EVER. Except the instant pot.
True, and it’s not attempting to question whence charisma derives , in our biased minds.
You’re right, SNL’s version of Clinton is very much the mainstream version that some of us are complaining about. Although there’s more affection in McKinnon’s portrayal, it’s still part of the problem in making important elections about who you’d want to have a beer with vs who would do the best job.
This is also my favorite. I use spaghettini, Parmesan, bacon, onions, garlic, white wine, chicken broth, white pepper, and whole eggs (not just yolks). I’ve tinkered in other directions, but my son insists this version is the best. I tried one with just yolks, and it ended up being too rich. And my son won’t let me…
But there’s affection In McKinnon’s impression. I’ve been thinking about the nature of charisma and likability, and I think people generally find men more likable and charismatic than women. It’s part of our deeply ingrained sexism. So I think you should question whether your requirements for likability skew male…
He’s a narcissist. New trophy wives aren’t supposed to have inner lives of their own or regular human desires. That kills the fantasy.
