Soooo bummed. I love this show! Also, I totally would have pegged Paul Hollywood for an abuser, not Johnny. Sigh.

I have found the instant pot to be the king of hard boiled and at least pretty acceptable for “poached” eggs. For a poached egg, I bought a set of 4 silicone cups. Put the steamer rack in the instant pot, add 1 cup water, spray each cup with Pam, and crack one egg per cup. Place the cups on the rack, and cook on Low

Like what about a minced hot dog sauteed with caramilzed onion with a mildly sweet non-pickle relish like a chutney on potato bread?

Meh, it’s a “sandwich” only as a technicality, like tomatoes are a fruit, perhaps. No one calls a hot dog a sandwich, not because “Americans are dense,” but because they are intuitively a different class of item, and are popular enough to be their own category.

A subway sandwich may have a hinged loaf, but it’s sandwich-like in all other respects. It’s the cumulative othernesss of hotdogs that make them not sandwiches. I would argue a meatball sub isn’t really a sandwich either, but it’s not popular enough to invent a new category for it.

A hot dog is not a sandwich. Sure, technically, it’s a sandwich (bread, filling), but no one intuitively thinks of a hot dog as a sandwich. It violates classic sandwichness in various ways: the bun is hinged, and the dog must be oriented at the top; it’s topped with...toppings on its open edge; it’s oblong with a

Humans are surely the most foul smelling animals in the world, if we didn’t have baths/showers. I might be making your point for you, though...

One of my all time favorite movies. I saw it 7 times in the theater. A pleasure reading your analysis here.

Just finished the season, and I loved it. I hope they renew; surely they can come up with a ton more stories. The reviewer gives this a good grade, but the review itself seems lukewarm. I couldn’t be happier about how much they committed to the penis swapping. That Josh vs Joosh full frontal scene was the best ever.

They used to be able to get real stars for this “honor,” hard to believe. Remember when Adam Levine was the sexiest man alive?!!! On a side note, my husband made me stop reading People magazine like 10 years ago after 1 too many “Half their size!” dieting articles. I have to say, I’m so glad I stopped reading it.

That’s why Clooney’s role in Hail, Caesar was so perfect.

I mention her costume from a “this is a TV show” point of view, not a real life point of view. The costumes on this show are very particular; everyone has a certain look, including lux Tahani, foppish Michael, conservative Chidi, and marmy/sexy Janet. Eleanor’s look is very “blank slate.” It’s not particularly

It was hard to keep reading after his use of the dumb “MSM” acronym.

There’s soooo much territory to cover regarding the actual good place, too. I think the most interesting thing in season 2 is learning that Janet came from the good place; that she’s essentially god like in that she knows all, and can even create life (not very well yet). So maybe the “god” of the good place is just a

This whole final season seems extremely lazy and phoned in. It’s clear everyone is thinking about their next better project. But I still watch, because it’s comforting.

I know! When she was making it out of a London Fog coat, I thought there was a chance she was going to do something interesting and yet passable for the era. But it is beyond ugly. It’s as if they want to make her look older, but not facially.

Not the best episode, for sure, but it still felt short to me. So that’s a win. Has anyone else noticed how frumpy Claire’s outfit is so far? That cloak! That dress! I can’t figure out if that’s on purpose considering the gorgeous and flattering outfits that Claire has worn before. And she seems unhappy too, even

I loved Patriot, liked Sneaky Pete, The Tick, Mozart in the Jungle, and am really looking forward to the Marvelous Mrs. Maizel. Overall, the Amazon programming is pretty good, despite that turd.

Yes, the screens have only gotten better over time.

I thought it was a bit of a wash for Old Oasis vs. Voyage, although I kept the Oasis (a little lighter, etc.). For me, the key feature of the New Oasis would be the larger screen so I can read more before changing pages. My husband has the Kobo One, and it’s great, but a little heavy. The New Oasis is supposed to be
