Down with refrigerato-normative oppression!
Mypoorkrelboyne, would you kindly expand on that? What you're saying is a bit tightly packed and unfamiliar to me, and perhaps to some others as well. Thanks!

Where do I sign up?
As a straight, white, middle-aged American male, I'd like to note my irritation at straight, white, middle-aged American males, so many of whom are bona fide assholes. Not sure if that counts as racist/sexist/ageist/anti-American, but hopefully not.
Just seeing "HSACWDTKDTKTLFO" typed out makes me laugh.
I haven't finished the season yet, but had no doubt whatsoever where they were going with that. (Sorry, Todd.)

"20,000 leagues above the sea"
Cute, but all kinds of wrong.
Assuming a league of 3.452 statute miles (definitions vary), "20,000 leagues above the sea" would put you 69,040 miles above the earth's surface, or about a third of the way to the moon.
Moreso, the usage is based on a misunderstanding of the Jules…
^And upvoted for noting something that perhaps only people of a certain age will get.
^Case in point: Sarah Silverman.

Not worse than DS9's finale.
Everybody needs a copyeditor. It's a shame AV Club doesn't have one.
One of the things that angers me about the gun lobby is the endlessly asserted position that gun-control advocates simply want to take everybody's guns away. It's bullshit of course, but there doesn't seem to be a way to extract it from the general discourse.
Dawkins gets plenty of hate from religious types, just not scifi nerds.
Kriss lost me when he inserted "our Lord Jesus Christ" into an essay relating to science.
I'm glad George C. Scott didn't make the same decision when he played Patton.
Also try "Serial Mom." Very mainstream by Waters standards, but still funny and somewhat subversive.
Did she go on to be governor?
I have a "didn't" regret. My girlfriend in college had a virgin friend whom she wanted to deflower, with my help. I was cool with the threesome idea but didn't want the responsibility of being someone's first, so I declined.
