It's awkward, but I'm glad they trashed the awful Pike storyline in one fell swoop. The show does a shitty job of establishing what the people of Arkadia are actually going through, which is why Pike's ascent was so awkward. An entirely brainwashed Arkadia is way more unsettling and interesting.

The longer shows like this go on, the more they have to spend on cast and crew. It eats through the budget more and more.

Yet

… No

Oh. Sweetie.

No, they have said it before, but they dropped it two or three times this episode.

"Mr. Ghul, sir… it's 1960. Do you think maybe, perhaps, we could consider getting wiring for lightbulbs already?"

Rip, yes. Jax, no. He was hilarious this episode, and - when the budget can justify it - Firestorm looks awesome.

I honestly don't think we've seen any fluctuation in Stephen Amell's facial hair length, give or take a heinous fake beard. Like, has he even ever once been clean-shaven?

But they've already killed a Canary, and that was a trainwreck. And since it's clear Sara Lance is one of the best parts of the spin-off (my bias is showing), killing off her sister on another show means they'd have to deal with that, which isn't the best groundwork for a crossover, tbh.

You do you, bae.

He really is like a schoolyard black hole of happiness.

Donna is like Cisco. She came on really strong, but over time she is a delightful, important part of the show.

Jesus tapdancing Christ. She threw away her career to invest in a marriage with Ben Affleck, and look where that's gotten her.

Jesus, do you have a financial stake in this or something?

I had to re-watch the entire Wrath of Khan scene over and over because he was so damn golden.

FLASH/SUPERGIRL MUSICAL

Another day, another time Jennifer Garner's career has disappointed me.

DELIGHTFUL! GIVE ME MUSICAL CROSSOVER!

The defensiveness of some fans is bonkers, and I say this as someone who wanted the film to be good.
