Looks awesome, but no PC version means I’ll pass.

I think things take a different light when you stop expecting your employer to care about you: you are in it for the money, they are in it to get your time and skills in exchange.

If you followed through, you always have a would-be offer in your pocket if you keep in touch with would-be employers/leads and speak to them regularly (as opposed to only when you’re desperately looking for work). That’s the professional network everyone should cultivate on a regular basis.

I’m pretty he’s actually just rolling his face against his keyboard, trying to make sense of all that funny internet stuff.

As if we needed another example of how terribly biased and stupid the justice system is - lawyers just make the best of it, as judges and juries don’t always have the wits needed to come to a decision.

What I’d love to know is how much Gawker is getting paid to talk about Marvel every single day, because that’s a genuine mystery.

Whoosh

Accepting a lowball offer with the promise of a hefty raise/bonus down the road, unless it has a date on it (eg. within 6 months), the promise is likely empty and is just a ploy to get you in with only the lowball offer.

“If regular EarPods don’t fit well in your ears, try these out in the store first because the design is basically the same.”

I guess we’re still not out of that time warp where oldies get redone, over, and over, and over again.

Looks like a technologically-awesome way to make sure a simple card game doesn’t stay simple (or cheap).

Zuck is quickly closing the loop on his own existence, he’s already at the stage where he’s relying on has-beens to revive his Internet fame.

Here I was expecting classic tech whining like “omg Apple only gives a free $25 iTunes card with their iPads this year”, and I was pleasantly surprised to see worse stuff than that.

No worries, he’ll suddenly go very quiet once corporations get the promised tax cuts.

I bet you wouldn’t be saying that if Clinton had won, tho.

Not voting, however you want to put it, may be a way to take a stance - but the outcome of the vote still very much has an effect on your life. How fucked up is that?

So we’re fucked, is that what I apparently refuse to admit?

Not participating yields nothing. I’m sure if comforts you in some way that you’re voicing your opinion, but you’re only allowing a flawed system to keep a minority of voters to decide for the majority of citizens.

Well, it isn’t the government per se, this would need to go in the constitution. Furthermore, current western governments are elected by a fraction of the population as participation rates are stupidly low - not sure which is the lesser evil, making people vote, or keep in place a voting system that allows this fraud

“I dunno, maybe something to do with forcing people against their will to vote for a person they don’t want to?”
