Just because I hate North Carolina doesn’t dismiss the truth. Sorry YOU HATE hearing the truth. UNC delayed the “NEW” violations so they could make a run with a talented team. It was a nice try and even better championship game (not a jab)...truly one for the ages.
Joy Comes In The Morning.

I get your point, but the same could be said for the “one and done” players. If I live in Blacksburg, VA and I want to see Brandon Ingram play live then I only have one year to try and do it. He’s in playing in a big city where travel gets much more expensive.

I hear your point, but I think you keep the NCAA. However, you cut the stream of money that is corrupting college sports. Checkout the Washington Post series around November - December 2015 about the increase in athletic department spending b/c of the TV money.

The D-League is the ethically correct way to handle this situation. Bring in Herman Edwards (yes, I know he is NFL guy) to talk about being a professional. Bring in Warren Buffett about being smart with their money.

This modern day version of college basketball would be obsolete. The D-League gets a boost and bringing income to towns across America that would love to see a Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram come through.
I remember watching John Smoltz pitch in Richmond, VA and then seeing him at King’s BBQ that night.
Would it be the

If you are ashamed then get out the ladders and start pulling down some banners. It isn’t enough to say “Cheating is bad, ummmkay”. Show us more than whine and cheese and make a stand. Until you accept that sort of responsibility you are just a carpetbagger peddling snack oil for sale to the NCAA.
Men’s Soccer and

YES, they’re the ONLY school that has done this level of ACADEMIC FRAUD on student athletes for decades.
Recruiter: We can’t pay you and the NCAA is very strict on what we provide you under a scholarship
Player: Well what do I get?
Recruiter: A first class education for free.

Ain’t Cheatin’, Ain’t Trying - Dean Smith

I disagree. The demand is too see amazing plays in the major sports. If the TV money paid to the colleges went to NBA D-League teams the flow of money is diverted and the NCAA river of flowing money dries up.
What is wrong with the D-III model. Playing because you love it...more heart in some D-III players than all the

D-League = Basketball Major...Simple answer that would cost the NBA too much money to make a reality.

You get out what you put in...Start telling kids like Simmons and Ingram that they have to play at least one year in the D-league to fulfill this stupid NCAA 1 and done rule.
NBA fork over the money to improve the quality of the D-league.
LIFT THE HAMMER AND CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!

I am in agreement with you that the administration released those violations to give Ol’ Roy and his preseason #1 team a chance to claim a title.
As for stupid/dumb, there are jokes that could be inserted except this there is nothing funny this scandal. Although, I can hear the snickers and see the smiles of the

I have found that one simple change to that phrase will get a far better response...
“How ‘bout them Tarholes?”

No, not dumb. They’ve had lots of practice. I would ask them to write a paper detailing how they did it, but after reading what some of these “student-athletes” turned in for the ONE paper requirement for the classes I know it would make as much sense as Sarah Palin in Wisconsin this weekend. Not political, just

I will believe it when I see it. When ESPN is doing their basketball day of letter of intent coverage and 5-star recruits are signing with the Tallahassee Warthogs. Just joking, but enough of the pretending.
NCAA LIFT THE HAMMER AND CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!

I don’t know where you buy your potatoes, but academic fraud that goes on for 3 decades and started by Dean Smith isn’t small potatoes.

The NCAA makes more than the NFL. UNC are the Patriots of the NFL. Misplaced face of what is right in their “product”.
I have seen too many fans jump on the Tarheel bandwagon....can’t beat ’em, join ‘em.

The Carolina Way? I am in my 50's and I am only familiar with the TARHOLE Way. This scandal makes that a pretty good description.
Mic Drop!

I’m afraid you are correct. There was an departure of some talented women hoopsters.

Just use the D-League and let’s be done with all of this “pretend” investigating by the NCAA. To borrow from the current GE commercial...the NCAA can’t lift the ‘HAMMER’.
Just ask recent violators...Ohio State and Syracuse. NCAA sanctions had no effect in these “power” programs not returning to national titles /

Westwood One and poor taste in comments are nothing new...see Jim Gray and his humble braggin MNF “interviews” with random B listers who have nothing to add to football. Occasionally he will get Tom Brady who adds even less about football and more about TED 2.
