yes, the infrastructure problem is real, especially when everyone is at home at night charging their EVs. The solutions should be developed with utilities jointly so that we don’t have one side of the market (chargers and companies operating them) making decisions that exclude other market players and stakeholders

found your issue, left turns out of parking lots are getting increasingly difficult in traffic and i find it a bit rude to hold up everyone to make your left turn. I usually try to just make a right and then turn around safely somewhere rather than wait 10 longer to be able to cut through often 2 lanes of traffic from

The whole recline concept in Economy is really garbage. The miniscule recline is not really that noticeable for the person that reclines while it significantly cuts down on the space for the person in the back. I’d be perfectly fine if none of the economy seats reclined. Problem solved for the airlines and for

I must disagree with the “no personal item in overhead” suggestions. Sorry guys, if I’m flying with no carry on and only have a personal item, it sure as hell is going up there. Why should my one piece of luggage have to cramp my leg space while you don’t want to check in your luggage and opt for carry on? Everyone

This is how it should go. New cars don’t really need a dealership and their scammy salespeople. Just have a showroom where you can see/test drive the model you’re interested in and then order one and take at home delivery. New cars don’t need to be seen to be purchased if you already know what you’re buying.

the Santa Cruz is for the niche market of: “i’m a plumber and want to be able to take my family of 5 on a water heater replacement job with me” ;)

I hear you. I’m always amazed who arrived at a shopping dilemma of: I want a sports convertible that looks fun but has no traction and sucks in corners.

because most of these jeeps are driven to school by young girls or people who want to preserve their youth and these cars don’t see any off-roading beyond a gravel parking lot at a county fair at best. They drive horribly, they have no space for the size they are, the no roof features don’t work in places that aren’t

As long as you recognize that this is treating a symptom rather than the issue.

you have 2% mortgage and you’re prepaying??? That’s crazy. I’d never do that and instead put all of that extra money to work elsewhere. Even the simple CD or money market will get you 5% now so at the end of the year you’re still making 3% if you’d factor in the cost of the mortgage.

You pay more than $40k per year in mortgage on a $650k house? Is your loan like 10 year term or something? That’s crazy.

they probably meant “north”

most apartment complexes don’t have a parking garage. They are parking spots out in the open lot at best with some having a street/curb parking. That’s a good few millions of americans that won’t be able to charge anytime soon

why not invest the $1MM and enjoy 4% withdrawal annually into perpetuity. With a bit of a luck, this could be paying for your annual mortgage and possibly kid’s tuition to some extent. Alternatively, the kid could take a loan that would start to pay off once you paid off the house with the 4% withdrawals. The best

this is how aluminium industry got rid of their byproduct, fluoride. Dump a whole tanker worth of fluoride into a ditch and it’s poison/pollution problem. Dump the same tanker into municipal drinking water and now your have an “enrichment” and health benefit.

agreed, it also seems that we’ve created an entire industry trying to protect people from home radon levels where some publications are showing that most homes in typical residential areas don’t really need this as the exposure doses in people’s basements are so low that it would take years to live only in a basement

ahhh the “deep state”. You mean a government that does uphold regulations so that people don’t get taken advantage of? Look how republican deregulations have worked for the people in East Palestine OH or the ones affected by recent bank collapses. This radioactive material usage is another example of pushing

they had a ton of good ones but some of the last few seasons felt too scripted and dull i.e. fixing the road, making car movie, rally commercial with STi, etc.

this is true, the venues need to be more affordable and sustainable. I remember driving to Indy race back in 2006 from ChiTown and the GA ticket was around $120. Basically with gas and food split among couple of friends it was a $200 endeavor.

it’s hard for me to sympathize with people that can afford cars (and other lifestyle luxury items) but are in line to the food pantry. It’s basically showing that they’re prioritizing their cars over their food.
