At $2500 for a v6 manual trans running/driving Toyota, I vote NP all day :thumbs-up:

Volkswagen Decides, Fine, It’ll help get Meh Car Monday back”

I liken the Uber/Lyft debate to the way almost all home construction / home improvement companies operate too...

@Anything; From the linked document:

“Plaintiffs allege that Volvo re-shared the Instagram Photographs in an Instagram Story on or about November 19, 2019.”

Maybe we’re making a distnction between “re-sharing” and a “Instagram Story”; but my point was that by the IG TOU re-use of public images posted on IG can be

I’ll make an argument for Volvo here; I feel like they are somewhat (not completely) in the right.

Came here to say the BRAT. (But not done like the Baja.)

Thats a lot of $ for a used bike. For comparison, the last bike I got off Craigslist was a mid-2000's Trek 2300 alpha, all Ultegra and Bontrager Race Lite; 19.5 lb modern aluminum road bike, for $250. Still had the original price tag under the seat; $1900 bike originally. Replaced cables, tires, tubes, chain and it

I like the styling of the Mazda 3, but didn’t even test drive one at last car purchase because you can only get a manual trans in the “premium most expensive” trim option WITHOUT allwheel drive... who thought that was a good idea? Got a Civic Si for thousands less. Not AWD but at least they don’t tease you with having

Am I the only one who feels like “ingenuity of our dealers” and “robust customer assistance programs” from a Hyundai/Kia dealer means “we talk financially irresponsible low income people into our ‘special credit’ financing and convince them they can afford this vehicle; knowing we’ll just reposess it later” (or have

As someone who will be in the market for a new car soon, and loves hot hatches, it’s been disappointing that there are almost none left in the US.

OMG! I check Facebook Marketplace darn near daily, and as an Ohioan who visits MidOhio and did a driver school there, if I would have seen this truck posted it would have been a “shutup and take my money” moment. So sad that FB marketplace never showed me the listing (likely due to rage from me)

> ... in almost every case study in the article the car dealers who were suggesting this pathway were all selling new Kias.

Was behind one of these on the drive to work today. As I came up on it I saw the sporty styling of the tail end and thought “oh what’s that sports car?” then realized; oh just a gutless sedan designed for comfort driving, not performance. It’s a shame Toyota went so heavy on the “looks aggressive!” styling and does

I always find this amusing too; I can fit 8' lumber into my Subaru Outback and still shut the hatch. I parked it next to an old ‘90's Ranger once and was surprised to see that a ‘10 outback is about the same size as a ‘90's Ranger.

The problem is that if Honda did that, it would be to the S2000 what the CRZ was to the CRX... Have a nod toward what the original was, with none of the soul or what made it great. I have no confidence that they wouldn’t completely botch it.

Ended up not even test driving a Mazda 3 because of exactly this. “wait I have to buy the most expensive one and NOT get AWD that the cheaper ones have?”

Specifically 4-door hard-tops, driving around on a beautiful day with the top on. If you wanted a comfortable 4 door vehicle that wasn’t open to the weather to carry the kids to school; YOU DIDN’T WANT A WRANGLER!

3 time Subaru owner:

I saw that article scroll past on my news feed and thought “oh cool, Lambo made the new SUV look like the old one! good for them!”

love love love this thing! I really enjoy the simplicity and utilitarian nature of it. It reminds me of old 50's trucks. Look at that dash! No touch displays or dozens of buttons... just a few gauges. So perfect. It’s a shame I could never afford one.
