Eeeeehhh, I don’t know. I think this is just the result of Valve trying to balance everything out. Where we lost some detail we gained in other aspects. As someone who has Native American blood (Snohomish), and was raised in an Native American community (Tlingit/Haida of SE Alaska). My opinion on the skins, long before there was any hint of actual ties were simply this:
I love Overwatch but this still feels like a cop out. Mixed race characters in media are big game changers, don’t get me wrong. But you don’t just make a character, put them in an arguably racist costume and then a month or two later say “..welll what if they were mixed race? Would that get you off my back?”
