Can anybody think of what cars are excluded from tariffs using the provided metrics? It looks like nearly everything from 1.5L to 4L for standard combustion cars, and 1L to 4L for PHEVs, is captured, but then there’s number 26:

I believe that Trump’s greatest deception is convincing anybody that he knows about business.
New EPA regs will require vehicles from 2026 onwards to burn no less than 1 ton of coal per 500 miles. and you consider that evil?
You guys never thought that one states lack of rules would make states down wind/river toxic. It’s ok, you guys didn’t even know about viruses and stuff yet. But thankfully you were foresighted enough to know you didn’t know everything and put in provisions for us to fix the Constitution as we develop.
If Trump wants to justify steel tariffs by citing National Security Interests, couldn’t the same be said about dependence on foreign oil? Cars with better fuel efficiency and alternative energy options have basically tied our OPEC friends’ hands and they no longer hold the leverage over us they once did.
Cue the deniers.
“If you can manage to get a real Ferrari dashboard, no one’s gonna tell it’s a replica.”
They don’t want to do that for reasons of protectionism and nationalism.
Is it just me or are there more cars available in other parts of the first world than the so-called land of the free?
You shit out your front? Please see a doctor.
But the brown is on the front?
And if temps dip below 40 often, steel wheels and snow tires paired with nice summer tread is where it’s at
Jalopnik needs more F1 news.
Exactly, and I think this should be dealt with by the gov’t. America didn’t even have to enact the ban without offering much evidence. So thanks to this, we basically get such clunkers like the ‘02-’05 Ford Explorers, Cadillac Catera, Pontiac Aztek, and the last-gen Chrysler Sebring.
Because you live in Europe, where you can import, but here in Amerifatland, there’s this pointless ban barring any vehicle under the age of 25, yes, a quarter of a goddamn century, from being imported stateside. After all, if the TVR Sagaris is illegal for not having airbags, they may as well outlaw the muscle cars of…
Which our ignorant, Pumpkinheaded President would like to make more protectionist, but I digress.....
It’s a lot for an American
This is nice, but three miles is nothing. Why must we keep lowering the bar on EVERYTHING?
Story time!! (And bear with me, it’s kinda long)
These guys have never heard of PID loops or inertial accelerometers? How did the OS even allow this to occur? “Sorry rotor 2... Forgot you were there.” Gee... Ya’ think maybe you should increase the sampling from 1 cycle every 10 or 20 seconds? Total amateur hour.
