If you are going to have a gun on your hip during a traffic stop, don’t then also be aggressive to the cops. He didn’t get killed just for having a gun. You also might have missed that the gun was on the floorboard, out of its holster, meaning he either unholstered his gun or had a loose gun available during the stop.

Well put.

Not enough Bro’s with ginourmous pickups in LA who know how to back in.

Anti-government conservatives have successfully pushed for industry self regulation for decades and so we get what we get.

Whether they pollute less or not on the whole, EV’s decrease our dependency on foreign oil, which is absolutely a good thing.

The government has a legal mandatory requirement to citizens to purchase a for-profit product but corporations don’t have a legal requirement to provide it.

Yeah, if only California had places to ride offroad...

Pilot was probably from the Navy. Then again, SNA has a very short runway and you need to land quick and slam on the brakes.

Dear God people women, stop screaming.

Do not generalize your wants to whole population. While I prefer driving myself there are a lot of people who I know that are waiting for self-driving cars. And, as proven by some Tesla owners, some are willing to use “Full Self Driving”. So the market is certainly there and people are willing to pay. The technology

I disagree, I don’t believe they failed. It is nescient technology that is working thru a process. I believe, one day, AV’s will replace manual operated vehicles and provide superior safety to what is currently human drivers.

The biggest problem has been the human drivers, they are the ones who are reckless and create more variables to make the task more challenging. I am honestly fine getting human drivers off the road since they cannot handle the responsibility.

My biggest knock is that I don’t want to be forced to hand various people my phone any time they need to see my ID. Most of all, being forced to give a cop an unlocked phone.

Something-something-free speech absolutist-blah-blah-blah.

Many EV owners don’t have a ICE backup, anymore. We had only EVs for a while, despite doing more/longer trips than average, and even now that we have both EV/gas, we take the EV on trips because it’s not a big deal, and our EV is way bigger than our gas MINI Cooper.

Dealerships will be the death of good cars.

We had asked the Ford salesperson about a Mach-E early in the year and they told us at the time that they were pretty sure the 2023 model year was already sold out. Due to prices shifting around between brands and the IRA tax credit, we’re pretty locked into ordering from one of the online-only brands any day now.

This kind of goes against my personal experience. We somewhat recently drove to around 8 dealerships and most had 0 or 1 of any given EV model currently on the lot.
