The Escort in the U.S. was a pretty boring and lackluster car, I owned what was probably the most interesting one produced (a 1990 Escort GT) and even that wasn’t much to write home about.

Sounds like there is little to no actual evidence that these seats are unsafe, just that the government hasn’t tested them and certified them as safe.

My Mazda3 turned 20 last month, not my daily driver anymore but still runs well and brings a smile to my face when I drive it.

To each their own, I’d disassemble and reassemble an EV battery pack without rubber gloves before I attempted to do an engine swap on any ICEV including an original VW Beetle which is legendary for (among other things) the ease in which it’s engine can be replaced.

I trust a junkyard battery pack the same as I trust a junkyard engine (no farther than I can throw them).

You can buy a used battery for a Chevy Bolt for $2500 on eBay right now.

Most of the natural gas pipes in the country were put in as those areas were first developed, much more difficult and expensive to go into established areas to install millions of miles of new pipelines that would be needed.

Keep in mind that most EV owners charge at home, an the only time they use DCFC sites (like what Electrify America operates) is on the occasional road trip.
