Keep in mind that most EV owners charge at home, an the only time they use DCFC sites (like what Electrify America operates) is on the occasional road trip.

No because USPS EVs won’t be trying to charge at public DCFC sites.

Exactly, the Hydrogen advocates either don’t realize, or pretend not to realize that most EV charging is and continue to take place at people’s homes. You’re just never going to be able to refuel your HFCV at home.

Bought my Bolt in early 2018 and until 2022 I used it almost exclusively for commuting, with occasional (once or twice per month) trips of ~100 miles. I averaged about 120 miles per WEEK.

Which is why I think fast chargers should charge based on time instead of based on kWh delivered.

Again, you are rebutting an argument that nobody made.

I’d never recommend that anyone who didn’t have a reliable way to charge at home get an EV for now or the near term future.

Unless you do a LOT of long-distance driving you’re still wasting more time getting gas than most EV drivers do charging.

I’ve road tripped my Bolt a few times, it’s doable but not ideal.

Maybe they’ll start doing that after it becomes legal on a federal level.

I’ve only ever been on one cruise (other than ones I took years ago on grey boats with rather crappy amenities).

IMO EV ownership should absolutely be advocated towards the lowest hanging fruit first. That is 2+ car families who need one “commuter” car (the EV) and one “family” car.

Oh No! ...

#7 As someone who’s been daily driving an EV for more than 5 years I’m going to disagree there.

Not if we start throwing people in jail when they are caught driving without a valid license.

More likely talking out of their butts to try to convince people that the one of the most likely perpetrators (one of the homeless people) had nothing to do with the fire.

said that a nearby encampment of unhoused individuals was not involved in the blaze.

EVs may not make sense for the urban dwellers you speak of.
