I’m already starting to think about the replacement for my 2017 Bolt (which based on past experience means probably buying around 2023). My next car will almost certainly be another EV but after my ownership experience with my 2013 Audi A3 Scandalwagen it’s unlikely that I’ll ever buy another VW product.

My mom had one back in the day and my Mother In Law still has one, both were (have been) very problem free even though my mother in laws doesn’t even get maintained properly.

Has there been a time in the past ~40 years where buying a Ford, or really anything short of a Yugo, wasn’t a better choice than buying a Chrysler?

How well does the Bolt sell compared with how the Mk1 Prius did in it’s first few years on sale? In any case hybrids sell well now, but the move towards electrification will proceed regardless.

Bolts are selling like hotcakes compared to the Mirai.

Toyota bet heavily on HCFVs but they have recently begun to realize that’s not going to work. Would take decades and at least $100B to build out the network of hydrogen fueling stations (to say nothing of the hydrogen production facilities) to make that a reality and advances in battery technology will render

Nobody will ever unseat Don Jr. for that title.

They are surprisingly enjoyable to drive, pretty responsive, not too big and the one pedal driving gives you a level of control and a feel that’s only beatable with a true manual transmission.

IMO they could do it profitably while still minimizing the impact on Tesla drivers during peak times.

This is great. IMO there is no more complementary place to install a DCFC than a truck stop, they are placed along heavily traveled inter-city highways, they always have easy access off the highway and always have at least one place to eat with most of them having multiple food options and even more amenities.

FWIW when Iowa took a direct hit on the side of Turret 2 during WWII from a Japanese ~6" shell the ship returned fire with their 5" secondary guns.

I looked into Maven a few years ago when I was considering buying a Bolt, wanted to use the service to get a sort of very extended and unchaperoned test drive.

If you negotiate price and financing separately you’ll still win with the 0% deal. The problem is most people negotiate on neither and only care about their monthly payments.

With a manual HVAC control you can adjust it without even looking at it.

Do trucks in China have speed limiters?

Still can’t trust them.

I’ve had some interactions with SSG King on another site that’s primarily for military and veterans. She’s done a fantastic job highlighting how effective transgender people can be in the military.

Granted this was a while ago but when I took the GED it was extremely easy, I had been out of high school for 5 years at that point and didn’t even study. Not a brag because it’s not remotely brag worthy but how do you struggle with the GED?

To be safe better chase it with a Tide pod.
