It took some wild mental gymnastics — including just making shit up — for the police could find a way to blame a kid killed by such a driver, but they got there.”

Because there is no incentive. Club penguin at some point likely cost more than it gained for Disney (usually this comes in the form of taking attention from something newer) so they abandoned it.

alternate take— modern copyright law is something totally alien to history and is bad for all of us. Shakespeare could not have written his plays under the modern copyright scheme, and that’s an indictment of the copyright laws not Shakespeare.

On top of that, games have become part of our cultural legacy, allowing

being an adult, I understand that means everyone’s IP will be protected.

I would like to think that context matters in this case. The situations and accusations you mentioned are barely in the same ballpark to be worth the comparison.

NFTs excel at that just because of the minimal regulations, so all of the old scams that are illegal for real objects of value are fully available

This guy helped someone launder $2.9 million.

Yeah, well, you know, that’s just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I mean, there’s a reason all the NFTs now are ugly procedurally generated profile pics, since you can churn out thousands of those easily and if the Delusional Dingoes don’t go over well, you can just move on to the Emboldened Emus.
