Someone has to say it pretty much every time one of these columns comes up; may as well be me this time.
Welp.
Neutral: What’s Your Sears Automotive Memory?
You’ve now publicly shown off that you can repair rust, in a place David Tracy is almost certainly going to see it. You know where this is going next...I’m so sorry.
Seriously. Just have the Protomen write and direct it. They’ve already proven they can.
I had an Intrigue, from 2003-2007 or so, beat up as hell cosmetically but perfect mechanically. I passed one just this afternoon that looked just like mine minus the childrens’ footprints in the hood and gouges down the side, and couldn’t help thinking how good it still looks and how much I miss mine.
That’s called a Ford Flex. It’s pretty damn good, but it hasn’t sold like it.
This is looking so much like Wing Commander Privateer 2018 and I NEED IT RIGHT NOW
I just...I don’t know.
It’s really not /that/ tough though. Yes, rechargeables have diminishing lifespans, but the good ones last a long time. I use these
(For what it’s worth the EBLs are high capacity and high cycle, but don’t hold their charge as long as some of the other brands; they need charging after a couple months, used or not. Personally I think that’s a pretty great compromise for the price and 1500 ish charge cycles)
I spent about $80 a few years back for a a 20 pack of 2800 mAH EBL AAs and a 16 battery smart charger. I haven’t had to buy another battery since, and I always have plenty of them around for all the controllers my apartment could possibly use, a couple of small flashlights, and...you know. Anything else that might…
Years back...no later than 2005 since I was driving back from a convention in Philedelphia, and that was the last year it was held there...I made the mistake of trying to take the George Washington Bridge. Aaaand there was an accident on it. Car fire, I think, maybe? We never saw the actual accident itself, but from…
...I don’t know how I never thought to do this, but I have to try it as soon as I get home.
Huh. That’s interesting. I doubt I’ll see one any time soon though. Still, I can check the map and...wait, that’s right near me? But I haven’t seen anything like...
It amazes me that people think servers and restaurant staff aren’t going to remember how they’re treated, too. How much effort do they really think is going to go into serving them if they treat people like crap in return?
Not 100% sure if every patch has come out on all systems at the same time, as I’d stopped paying attention to the game for a while, but this one, at least, did. All versions are up to date now.
Between the other updates and this one, it’s actually very close to what they originally promised now. Mostly all there except for the sandworms. Still more big updates and addons coming, too, apparently.
Nah, not just nostalgia. They were awesome games. Sadly the last few (the PSP release and xb360 Import Tuner Challenge) were half-assed disasters, so they didn’t try again for a decade. Then they teased a new one, got some of us all excited, and it turned out to be a short lived, mobile mess...
