We so desperately need a new Project Gotham.

It’s not, yet, but it’s coming.

Eve of Destruction was amazing. Still is, I still go back and play it pretty much yearly. There hasn’t been anything quite like it since. Wreckfest is pretty close though, and you’ll definitely enjoy it if you miss EoD. Not quite as many crazy race types, and without the semi-open world, but much better physics and

I feel pretty bad for him, stuck in the middle of this whole thing over what really did seem to be a well-meaning comment.

So many sides to this story, and pretty much all of them shitty.

Believe it or not, Action Park, despite its history, did not close for good. It’s still open, under a new name (and actual safety policies); it’s Mountain Creek Waterpark now. Supposedly it’s pretty decent these days. I haven’t dared try to find out myself.

I backed this one when they were first crowdfunding it, and for quite a lot of its early access, I really wasn’t very hopeful about it. They were changing the physics model all over the place, it never really felt right or fun, and kept getting delayed more and more...

Oh hell no.  That is not a Blazer.  I had a Blazer.  I loved my Blazer.  That is not in any way at all a Blazer.  Dammit GM.

He outright told everyone he was full of shit and the stuff he was selling was worthless, and he was doing it to teach people to pay attention to scams.

Yep. It’s not cheap. But if you’re going to play the game frequently, it makes a HUGE difference. Setup times can be 20-30 min without an organizer, a few minutes with it. Over the course of a campaign that can go 150 hours...

I don’t have too much trouble believing the part about being rear ended and not being damaged.

It’s almost certainly not the city itself. You don’t have to go far from Pittsburgh to get to Pennsyltucky though...

A few friends and I were playing this at a convention last year in “five-player mode” (one person playing Gordon Ramsay and attempting to give orders to the others), after a few drinks. It ended with us literally on the floor laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe.

...is that a Platinum take on Dark Souls? I don’t even need to know any more. I want it.

Seconded! GCP starts out a little bit shaky since a couple of the players are new to the game and take a bit of time to really get into their characters, but once they do, it’s amazing!

As far as TAZ...yes. It starts out amusing. It ends pretty much redefining “epic.” The last arcs are incredible.

I have a FoST, so...not blaming myself, no.

It’s the same almost any time someone starts with the “think of the children” crap. Just a tool to try to force their religion onto people.

Looks like it’s at least partially because of this.
