There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part! You can’t even passively take part! And you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels ... upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop! And you’ve got

“We don’t think you fight fire with fire best; we think you fight fire with water best. We’re going to fight racism not with racism, but we’re going to fight with solidarity. We say we’re not going to fight capitalism with black capitalism, but we’re going to fight it with socialism. We’ve stood up and said we’re not

It shows more than a man filling up a van. She’s parked right next to the pump. His van is out beyond BOTH vehicles parked next to the pumps. He’s stretching the hose into a straight line through the air between both vehicles at the pumps to reach his van. That is circumstantial evidence he was stealing gas visible in

Trust me, had he rolled up on me like that, he would’ve. He pics a defenseless woman and probably observed she wasn’t packing. Cowards like that would’ve never rolled up on a Black man like that; especially open carrying. Uh huh

Someone who filled his own truck with the company card and needs to make that up.

Nah...Even his tone carried a certain disdain for Black women. Plus, why the need to lecture Sistahs about losing weight etc.? What’s new about that? And being “hard” or “harder” on Black men does not shield his sexism at all. After watching a few of his videos I was left with the impression that it was all a con! And

A huge dose of what Kevin Samuels offered was anti-black female.

Yes, one adjustment they could make is adjusting to the idea that they can’t have profits which grow endlessly year on year...

IMO, ever Black person should read Stokely Carmichael’s Black Power speech from 1966.

How to do it is never the question. The apathy is the problem and those photographers not giving a damn to put Black people in a better light; literally & figuratively.

So, what else is new? They been doing this to us since the camera was invented. They just don’t give a damn what Black people say. Exhibit Z.

I’m a photographer and I have to say that these photos really miss the mark for me. The whole dark monotone look of both photos is pretty bad. It’s a if Leibowitz was shooting a movie poster for a sad, dark, political drama. KBJ is almost hidden in the 1st photo and what’s up with her expression? The 2nd one is dark

Aside from some exposure issues, I wouldn’t say I liked the sunset backdrop for the first African American Supreme Court jurist. Like it’s some terrible omen or symbolism. Also, her looking up at the Lincoln Memorial looks ominous - either she doesn’t know what he’ll say at Gettysburg, or she fears his whip.
I don’t

It’s already been proven that she doesn’t know how to photograph Black people. With so much Black talent out in the world, you mean that you couldn’t find one to work with? Sounds about white to me.

Just okay isn’t acceptable. This isn’t some random’s photo reel; this is a highly paid and respected photographer for a glamour magazine known for its photographs making the same mistakes she has made over and over.

This is no joke: I do image polishing work professionally, and white photographers/videographers never expose Black people right. Seriously, almost never.

Racists: Don’t touch someone’s stuff.

She was asked if she “Liked” Trump…

“Before they hit me, the girl with the green hair said, ‘You probably like Trump! Don’t you?’ I said, ‘I love him.’ I didn’t see which one hit me first,” LeCroix said.”
