I don’t “want” you to do anything. You argued one was more hassle than the other. I showed how it wasn’t. End of story.

Real life gambling requires you to be 21 for almost all gambling in the US. Virtual gambling should be no different. M only restricts to 17 and above, which is too low, IMO.

I do not believe you for a second.

I finally caved and got a VR headset.  Went used, because there’s only 4 games that really interest me and my baseline is usually at least 5.  Will be firing up The Room as soon as I can get these base stations up and working.

“Flimsy”? I’ve been using the same micro USB cord to charge my controllers since launch. WTF are you doing to your charging cords?

So a problem specific to you is a reason that it’s more of a hassle for the OP. Okay. (Get one of these and plug whatever you need into it. The cord is more than long enough to go halfway around a standard couch.)

I like the ones that came with our ball thrower. Hard rubber, glow in the dark, and nearly impossible to chew up. She’s a German Shepherd so normal balls stand no chance against her, but these have lasted over two years with no visible wear.

A controller with a cord hanging off it is no more difficult to use than one without. Why are people making this out to be more of a hassle than it really is?

Why would you plug into the console?

Because it’s quite different to be tethered to the console (which limits how far you can sit from the console and is a tripping hazard) and being tethered to an outlet right next to you with a cord length of your choice.

Well, one, it takes less time to plug into the cord right next to the couch than to get up, go to where I store the batteries, swap the batteries, and then go back to the couch. (The rechargeable battery packs you can buy makes the effort roughly equal, though.) Two, why does it matter if you’re “tethered”? Do you

Because it’s not a big deal? I don’t understand why anyone would make a big deal about it. It’s not even a minor factor in which console I’ll buy. I’d be fine with either.

Honestly, this seems like a non-issue. Dualshock battery degradation seems pretty minimal (mine still lasts 8 hours) and, contrary to popular belief, they can be replaced relatively easily and you can continue to play while they charge. And third party accessories make having to have batteries on hand at all times not

stop playing and connect the controller to a charger until it’s juiced up again.

“I only want an internal battery that degrades over time and isn’t user-replaceable”

Wait, it’s more convenient to swap a pack than to plug into the cord next to the couch? Really?  Sounds roughly equal to me.

We have three dogs. :P But one is a tripod who can’t really play anymore (because the other dog won’t go easy on her and she ends up on the floor) and the other is much older and not really interested in playing much.

We have one and I use it often.  It’s nice not to directly touch the slobbery ball.

I have the same trouble with my husband’s dog. She’s dropping her ball or other toy on my feet all day. I spend half my breaks tossing it into the back yard for her.  We tried one of those launchers but it terrified her (she has an anxiety disorder).

I live in a rural neighborhood, so daily walks are still part of my life. There’s almost never anyone around and if there is, I can just cross to other side of the street and social distancing (plus some) is maintained. My dog appreciates being able to go with me, too, although I have to go slower than I’m used to
