That looks like a red knee tarantula. They’re very mellow and make good pets.

I’m working from home and my cat is driving me crazy jumping in front of the monitor. Every time I put him down he’s back up a few minutes later. My husband’s dog is also being a brat, thinking she needs her ball thrown every few minutes.

A general rule of thumb is that (situational) irony is the opposite of what you expect to happen happening. The Oatmeal probably puts it best: https://theoatmeal.com/comics/irony

I really don’t understand the drive to pay to advertise for a company. If anything, the company should be paying you for advertising space.

Whatabout, whatabout, whatabout...

TIL you can do word processing on a phone as easily as on a PC.  Sure.

I’d love to.  They have a monopoly on high speed internet in my area, though, and I need to work from home right now.

Your math is off, considering Naughty Dog released 3 Uncharted games and The Last of Us in that time period.

And X1X is all that’s out right now, which means it makes more sense to buy a PC than an XBox, since you pretty much need a PC to function in the modern world, and combining the purchases is cheaper than buying each individually.

I have a $600 gaming PC and I’m currently playing Jedi: Fallen Order on it.  It even does fine at VR, thanks.

The problem with the PS3 launch was the insane price tag. If it had launched at the same price as its competitor(s), it would have likely been fine.  That, and the whole architecture thing that made it extremely difficult to code for, which in turn affected which games came out for it and when (so again, games).

Do specs really mean much to the buyers, honestly? I only ever see them used in console war dick measuring contests, but I have never seen anyone say “I won’t buy a Playstation because the Xbox is faster”. If that were a significant factor you’d think every modern Nintendo console would tank, and the Switch is selling

I still buy physical because my internet sucks. Downloading a game is an excruciating process that can take hours or even days. On the other hand, patches are more manageable, so physical it is.

I love baking bread, especially experimenting with the more unusual flours. There’s something very satisfying about the whole process, from the initial sticky dough to kneading to the smell of it baking.  Good luck with your loaf!

I’m low key freaking out about the pandemic thanks to having an immune deficiency disorder. Fortunately, I can work from home, but I still worry about myself and my mother who has her own health issues.

While this is true, this is a gaming blog. Whether or not Macy’s or Barnes and Noble is unprepared is sort of irrelevant. Whether or not the largest video game retailer is is.

Considering he endorsed not a birther, but the birther, for President, I think he should stop casting stones about “stupid rumors”.

He has that power because he’s president, not because ordinary people listen to him.  If everyone ignored him he could do the exact same things.

Using a game to bypass internet censorship is ingenious. I don’t know if it’s novel or not, but color me impressed and inspired.  And also impressed and inspired by that build - that’s one gorgeous voxel building.

He does have to be taken seriously simply because he has the real power and influence to make his nonsense policy that affects many others, which may very well include you someday.
