I never once said it was a stock production car
EV racing might be the only thing to save Laguna Seca from the ever increasing noise complaints from neighbors...you know, the ones that moved there long after the track was built and THEN decided they don’t like the noise.
The stuff needed to make it do that lap time are pretty minor. Aero, Wheels and tires, minor suspension work. That’s something that lots of weekend warriors do to their cars. The cage isn’t making it faster, is my point.
Why are you so stuck on this? It’s not like the roll cage is giving the car a serious performance advantage. They put the cage in it to be legal for Pikes Peak, not because it would drop a tenth of a second at Laguna.
Is the kid partially to blame? Absolutely. But that doesn’t detract from the fact that a cop was involved. A cop that is supposed to serve and protect. A cop that did not stop, did not help, and did not serve the public. While other cops also refused to help or take a report.
This is a terrible take. Yes the kid screwed up, but for a state law enforcement officer to not render aid, for other law enforcement officers to refuse to take reports that might hold one of their own under the light of justice in clear defiance of the oath of service each of them swore to uphold, that’s a vastly…
Yeah, but if you or I hit this kid and drove away- we’d probably spend the night in jail.
ACAB
The activists are calling for the CHP to reveal the name of the officer who hit Isaac and did not stop to provide aid. They are calling for the officer’s immediate termination as well as the officers who refused to take a report from the community.
This. We already knew BMW/Toyota were sandbagging the numbers. Still a huge gain, but don’t believe that increase was “all” Litchfield.
not really because stock they are making way more than 335hp but yes that is a huge bump
They’re arguing over fair market value of a car bought with blood money. I love Koenigsegg but they definitely need to shut the entire fuck up on this one.
I don’t think this was a good way for Koenigsegg to correct the record. They should have tweeted, “Quick jump on this One:1 before Bonham’s figures out how much it’s really worth”... which would have alerted Koenigsegg’s Saudi clientele, that follow their Twitter page, this auction is coming up and they need to bid…
Dude said he planned to never take it to the track and it was his car so he could what he wants with it. The car had other plans and thought a life as a street car wasn’t worth living.
They’re a completely unnecessary prospect in this day and age, however. Why can’t we just configure a car, pay online, and have it shipped to our house in a month or so just like, oh, I don’t know, literally everything else ever.
THAT was an awesome article and resto! Bravo, my good sir. BRAVO
You, sir, are to be commended for your dedication. Great read. Any idea what kind of numbers it’s putting down with the refresh/upgrades?
Best article i’ve read on Jalopnik in forever. Great work and congrats on the awesome build Peter!
I remember they used to race these in IMSA GTO class.
