Richard Ramirez being called “the Night Stalker” was a specific name of a specific person like Jack the Ripper, the Zodiac Killer, the Son of Sam. But using “stalker” as a generic term for any type of creepy unwanted attention (as in Montana grousing “Why don’t I have a stalker??”) didn’t become generally accepted

Im not sure I like how attractive they made Richard Ramirez look. Where are the rotted teeth?

or it’ll turn out this is a movie.

“Why is there a “release all the prisoners” button at the asylum? And how did Mr. Jingles get a newspaper? If his room only has a mattress and the one ripped out article, where did he put the rest of the paper when he was done?”

Things you missed:

This episode was almost normal by AHS standards. I wonder how long it will take before it goes off the rails and how. What was going on in ‘84? Buckaroo Banzai, Dune, Supergirl, Gremlins, Ghoulies, ET ?

I wouldn’t mind hearing her reasoning, but why does it need an explanation?

“You know, I’ve noticed that people really like tits...”

You can like the art and not like the artist.

The idea that Wayne and Roland could finally acknowledge their bond as more than just a sense of duty, after decades of antagonism and acrimony, was really affecting to me.

This TD had the best acting, best cinematography and certainly makeup of most ANY production on TV right now, let alone the other TDs. It’s just that Pizzolatto’s storytelling can be lacking and generally unfocused. There are some rules to effective storytelling and screenwriting and he chucks most of them out the

I took it to read that his whole life afterwards was evidence enough that he never really left Vietnam, in his mind.

I was thinking that man, the documentary is gonna suck because Elisa didn’t really get far in the interviews with Hays.

The cards might have been shown too early. The little blond girl (played by Julie’s actress?) in the foreground when Hays and Roland go to the convent, her name is Lucy. I really expected Hays to ask her dad, who looks like Tom, about Mary July and then he meets his wife who is NOT Julie. Then I thought it will be.

Schnatter apparently failed to note that Colonel Sanders is long dead.

And who the fuck cares what Sanders said, anyway? There is NO excuse for a white person, in this day and age, to ever say the N-word in any context whatsoever.

I met Papa John once.

Nolan, Joy and the director of the finale all confirmed that William and Emily were always humans up until that post credits scene, which takes place pretty far into the future.

Well look at Mr smarty-pants feeling pity on those beneath him.

I though there was something off about Charlotte Hale hen she interrogated Bernard. The way she talked and sat with him was very Dolores like. But I didn’t think much about it then. We knew to little about the woman Hale was to know she was replaced.

Ashley Stubbs, smarter than he looks.
