But from my first comment, I don’t think that is what goes through most people’s heads when they see that. They just see zero stars and think, “I’m going to die from any little crash”.

Yes, exactly my point with the things unrelated to an actual crash. So I’m saying they should come up with a different name for it if they are going to fail it based on criteria unrelated to keeping a passenger safe during a crash.

But the problem with scoring low because you don’t have nannies is that, while the car is really quite safe in the event of a crash, people will think that it is not when they see the rating because your average person will just look at the stars and think that they actually relate to how the vehicle performs in a

Pets as well.

Just read all of your other comments, so please disregard my previous comment! Sounds like you know what you’re talking about.

Technically the article says it’s a crate engine, so it isn’t actually taken from a Silverado. Otherwise, carry on!

Yeah, makes sense if there’s more fuel in the exhaust that isn’t getting taken care of by the emissions hardware. That’s correct that they have to use more fuel. NOx is formed in high temperatures, generally when the engine is running lean, so adding a little extra fuel helps cool things down. But it also leads to

I’m not 100% sure on this, but from what I remember, the vehicles would start in testing state every time, but as soon as the steering wheel was turned at all, they were in dirty state until you turned them off again. Someone else can chime in if they know all the details, but I think they were more or less constantly

Is a slightly dirtier than advertised diesel golf hurting the environment more than a full-sized diesel pickup or SUV?

Premium is a pretty big reason. Costco is at least $0.50/gal cheaper for premium than like anywhere else in my city. I generally save at least $5 over filling elsewhere, and my Costco has like 36 pumps, so I usually don’t even have to wait in line, no matter the day or time.

That gate was coming down so slowly, just B8ing him to try to make it through.

It kind of does exist. I believe there are multiple experimental turbine-electric hybrid semis out there. I know for a fact that Paccar has one. Checked it out myself. They didn’t have the turbine running, so I don’t know how loud it was.

Yes, definitely good that they’ve kept it underground so far. Although it sounds like they’ve now ruined the mountain they were testing under.

You didn’t specify. I figured that was what you meant, but I think it’s also important that NK is the only country to be blatantly and repeatedly ignoring the ban on nuclear testing. Who knows what else they will do if they feel enough pressure.

When was the last time a nuke was used...

According to NBCWashington.com, Anthony Greer, of Adelphi MD, had the rims and tires stolen off of his Honda Accord on November 28th. He found his car missing all four wheels and placed on bricks.

Any car that can hit 70-80mph is a car that will get you speeding tickets.

$2/gal?! Where is that? Gas in Western Washington has been up around $3/gal for a long time now.

I’m not sure if there’s much of a need, but I’m sure not going to say no if GM wants to make a small displacement, possibly high(ish) revving V8 with a couple of turbos. But then, I do love small V8s.
