You are right. They are there and everywhere on the interwebs already.

I wouldn’t say Jesus as in the Christian entity, but rather Jesus-like in a metaphysical sense.
I love the “limbo” theory. There is definitely something mystical going on and Dud is the center of it. Little hints, like the water falling from the ceiling just as he was indoctrinated into the lodge, reveal that there is something bigger in store.
didn’t think of that before, but yes, you’re right, maybe, he is kind, caring and loves people. He just hasn’t found his “calling”. And he almost always has light around his head or shining from his face. Hmmm...
Count me among the folks glad to see this show getting reviews here. It’s some delightfully low-key weirdness.
Are these stub articles a thing now? Feels lazy.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think if you have the AMC Premiere cable add-on thing, they’re all available to stream.
1. Linda Emond, not Edmond
i just started watching and i love it so far. Wyatt Russell is fantastic and every once in a while he looks just like his dad! However, i am hoping this “goes” somewhere magical and mysterious and isn’t just surrealistic to be surrealistic. If that makes any sense.
Thanks for your review - I love this show and I’ve been a Sonya Cassidy fan since her days on ‘Vera’. I get the impression that the characters on the show are in a state of Limbo, or some sort of post death plane. Dud’s snake bite doesn’t heal, he plunged into a pool as if he wanted to drown, we did not see Liz…
Looking forward to reading these. Two episodes in, I can’t get enough of the low-pressure nature of everything happening on the show. Weird, but calm and grounded.
Yayy!! So glad to see reviews! Wow this show has been such a lovely surprise. I cannot love Wyatt Russell more in this, I just wanna befriend his character. He’s warm and supportive and really does, as you said, radiate inner peace. It’s a cozy show that turns my brain off for a nice hour but still keeps me intrigued…
So glad you are reviewing this. I love this show for the reasons you stated. It has a certain “cuddliness” to it, which is such a relief to watch after suffering through an episode of Sharp Objects or some such.
Hooray! Thanks for reviewing this show!
First in just to say I like this show a lot. I can’t read the review as I haven’t watched the third episode yet, but the initial paragraph strikes me as 100% on. It’s nice to have a show that isn’t (so far) about people shooting each other. Hopefully we’ve got another Terriers on our hand, though with a better fate in…
Given that Rocksteady has been called out here a couple of times, I’ll give props to her cover of Elton John’s Border Song (Holy Moses). She sells the gospel of it a little better than Reginald did.
She has so many great songs, but her performance on “Good To Me As I Am To You” from Lady Soul has got to be one of the greatest blues performances I’ve ever heard. Perfect backing band (Clapton on the solos), perfect lyric for her, and she sounds so effortlessly powerful. Why even try to sing a slow blues after…
Nobody’s mentioned “Rock Steady?” What it is!
Her recording of “You’re All I Need To Get By” is incredible.
I love love LOVE “Ain’t No Way”.
