While that’s generally the case, some guys take pride in their beat cars when they can keep them running, so it can get really extreme at times - look up “drift missile cars” if you want to see some interesting levels of destruction.

It’s kind of like extreme sports with skateboarders/bmx - the guys with the most damage are usually trying the craziest stuff (like running really tight to another car, or get really close to the wall/edge of the track). For pros, these are the practice cars that get beat on without worry.

If you don’t get out ahead of potential issues, the market will not correct itself until a crash, i.e. the death of the series (see: 1990s group C). No racing team stops to say “Gee, we should not use our full budget in order to ensure other teams avoid failure and ensure they’re also competitive.”

For those who haven’t played the demo for this game yet - it’s amazing. The match-3 is fun, but even the brawler part of the game where you collect ingredients is really fun too with each character having their own combos and traits while fighting.

This game is great! It’s your classic 16-bit RPG, only swords and spells are replaced by a golf club.

Of course not, but if you’re poo’ing during each launch - as one would assume 3000HP will do - the weight is never leaving the car during a run.
