That’s a big ol’ lie.
That’s a big ol’ lie.
I can’t fucking wait. Easily my favorite TV show of the past ten years or so. Will you guys do write ups this time, or is there a WB superhero show on?
I had to stop reading their list when I saw Gladiator above the Dark Knight.
Several films were overlooked for feeling, imho, a bit 2009-ey, like Toy Story 3 and Four Lions. Actual 2009 film Dogtooth was included though.
Yes to Four Lions and an unlimited amount of yes to The Hunt.
I love “The Raid” but I might love “The Raid 2" even more if that’s possible...
At least Arrival is on here. I think that movie is a bit more broad in scope so it fits on a list made by multiple people better. But yeah, he’s been on fire for his entire career.
Every Denis Villeneuve film since (and of course including) Prisoners deserves to be on this list; the absence of BR2049 is probably the least controversial imho.

How the fuck is Blade Runner: 2049 not on this list? It’s probably the best world building sequel that doesn’t ruin the original film. The rest of this list is good though
Well, I can’t argue with that Number #1 choice of Mad Max: Fury Road. Enjoyed it immensely, still mystified as to why the box office wasn’t greater given the massive critical acclaim (+ awards) and that it was ... well, just such a good looking movie with such great visuals, action and performances.
The narration’s the thing that really hurts this adaptation. It works for the novel and, to a lesser extent, the radio adaptation, because they aren’t visual mediums. On TV (or whatever you’re watching this on), it often feels both redundant and self-indulgent on Gaimen’s part, as if he couldn’t figure out how to get…
+ Ellen Page, Inception
Courtney is just a repurposed Sam Worthington.
We at the Syfy channel would like to option your pitch for Sharkqueefnado.
*Can get*?
A *little*?
Indeed he did, he dropped out of Dune because he wanted to do a smaller project where he could get to work quicker in order to distract himself, but having just watched his brother die from cancer ended up influencing the movie.
