Honestly, my memory of Thunderdome is very foggy. There's the Master-Blaster bit and the kids telling history in a weird, mixed-up pidgin English, and Tina Turner's shoulderpads … beyond that (see what I did there?) I got nothing

I think it says a lot about how well done Mad Max: Fury Road is, that two years later we're still revelling in its artistry, mythmaking, mythbusting, and general all-round brilliance
I remember the Viking episode! It ended with Hasselhoff uttering a line about anyone who grows up by the sea has the heart of a Viking!
I was struck by how much of it looked like it could have been filmed in the 90s - the production and costume design don't look particularly 2017 to me (I assume, on purpose), and although there were a couple of smartphones, for the mos part the tech was pretty clunky looking - the FBI computer that Dark Cooper used…
I still think the Tim Roth film was one of the better Van Gogh biopics
Sounds like Cardiff on a Saturday night
I think he would have had a decent career regardless, perhaps not in the arena of sci-fi, or perhaps the sci-fi would have come later … The Duellists (and all those commercials) had already marked him as an up-an-comer
I will repeat here a comment I made on another Alien thread this week, as it's even more pertinent here. Years ago I interviewed William Gibson, and talk turned to Alien, which he absolutely loved, gushing over the design of the Nostromo in particular as being "science-fiction's first dirty spaceship"
agree to disagree
It's been a long time since I saw it, but if i recall, the ending was pretty clear. It's also clear in the original, superior film Abre Los Ojos
This is off-topic, I suppose, but can somebody please explain the full meaning of 'cis' to me … as in, how did that prefix come to be
'chief'? #problematic

semi off-topic but possibly still on-topic, 6 Days (about the Iranian Embassy siege in London and the SAS raid) looks pretty bloody good, and nice to see Doyle from The Professionals in there (Bodie, of course, played an SAS man in Who Dares Wins) https://www.youtube.com/wat…
*Law & Order dun-dun sound*
Made it less than halfway through the trailer. The bad guy appears to be called Baghdaddy … or perhaps Bag Daddy … either way, all I could think of was Mack Daddy. Also, I wish I was high because it's the only way I could tolerate something this awful-looking
Is that Wilson Wilson from Utopia who I spotted in the Ghosted trailer? And was that Sgt Malarkey from Band of Brothers in the MacFarlane thing?
I'm still wondering about him getting into Dunkirk. Does Christopher Nolan have a teenaged daughter who demanded he give Styles an audition? Or does Styles just have an incredible team of people working for him, who somehow wangled a sit-down with Nolan? He's hardly the first singer to try to break into acting, of…
And have the parents and the girlfriend come to some sort of agreement or are they still squabbling?
