I should have said, even with all the references, I do still want to see the real thing. It looks to be a very interesting story. And of course, it clearly gets the treatment it does for being a beloved classic.
This is one of those movies where I know of it, its general premise, and its twist, exclusively through parodies of and references to it.

I only caught up with the series this week, so I've missed the write ups and comments; has anyone yet humorously referred to Lavinia as "Lovin' ya Swire"? If not, I'd like to do so now, please.
Holy crap, I thought the very exact thing, and was shocked when I found out via IMDB that she's allegedly American. What the hell is that accent? Is it some kind of period thing, or do people just sound like that in some part of the country I've never been?
Well, you see, pepper spray causes pain and weeping, and in a hyperbolic sort of way way, so does feeling ripped off, and I felt like the Catwoman DLC was a ripoff…look, it doesn't really work, ok? I'm just pissed about my $10.
She may not have pepper spray in the game, but for those of us who bought used then convinced ourselves to get the DLC, it can certainly cause a certain amount of anguish and teariness of the eyes when we realize we've spent $10 on about twenty minutes of content.
If democracy is a bra, then the monarchy are breasts. And we cannot imagine a society without breasts. Et là.
