As for that last part, I thought it was clearly obvious that I was speaking on cis het black women, since that’s what the article is about, but I guess not.

Black cishet women are a “privileged” class? LMAO!!! I’m done.
Like there were literally arguments that talking about our uterus or vaginas was trans-exclusionary. Talking about pregnancy and giving birth was trans-exclusionary. Calling yourself a woman was trans-exclusionary... but not calling THEM women was also trans-exclusionary. When pointed out that these were actual issues…
Except that’s not what I’m literally saying. Black cis het women should have their own safe spaces too, just like everyone else. But nope, that’s TERF behavior and met with violent reactions and name-calling, and you literally just did the latter.
I’ve definitely listened. I’ve been involved in the most heated of the FB debates. And it’s similar to talking to any cis male or privileged white person. They want us silent while saying whatever they want. And they want us to sit there and take the abuse with a smile.
Yep. Because vagina is exclusionary to trans people.
Oh honey, trans women DEFINITELY oppress cis black women. We are constantly threatened with violence if we don’t use correct terms for them, accept theirs for us, no matter how insulting and told how we can refer to our own body parts, while dimissed as trash and trans phobic for speaking out about what should be…
And LGBTQ folks also oppress cis black women, even if they don’t do it in a direct or violent manner... although there’s plenty of ways that they do. There is still male privilege and race privilege and misgynoir that LGBTQ folks have NO problem wielding against black cis women.
And I wouldn’t say black anything is waving the high flag on black women’s rights either, cis OR LGBTQ.... but all those groups have no problem coming for us cis het women. Bring that same energy to black cis males who ACTUALLY threaten all of our lives, including their own.
So black cis men are? LOL! Ok, sis.
They’re like toddlers, but more violent. They’re being forced to share and it’s NOT FAIR and for revenge, they’ll kill everyone... and then themselves.
Exactly. Some of the misogynoir and threatened violence I’ve seen on FB and Twitter when trans topics come up are astounding. And using Khia’s ridiculous ass as an example of a systematic issue between straight black women and queer people is a reach. Black women are usually the ones screaming loudest for LGBTQ…
This book was amazing. I just listened on Audible a few weeks ago. Her voice is even a draw. That “sitting on the couch having a glass of wine” feeling is all over the audio book. I’m going to listen again soon.
Awwww, you’re from St. Louis! Awesome!! No worries, you can learn the Wobble whenever you come back for whatever family function with absolutely NO JUDGEMENT! Slides like that are good for anxiety, because you’re participating in the party, but not actually having to interact with people... at least, that’s why I like…
I quoted directly from his article. He made a mistake, then corrected it. Its fine.
Nevermind, he already edited it lol.
Stephen didn’t use either of those words.
Yes, but Stephen typed “severe”.
Tillerson did severe our nation.
Same lol.
