Plenty of countries murder and downright neglect their citizens (NK?). The only reason you or anyone else cares about Syria is because of its geographical location.

Russia is bringing in high-tech weaponry - both offensive and defensive - because they know that the parties responsible for arming, financing, and training the terrorist armies attacking Assad in Syria won’t stand idly by while their mercenary armies are destroyed.
The pieces for a world war certainly do seem well-arranged right now. Good thing there’s no documented history of false-flag attacks leading to very real wars.
Why would we ever cooperate with the Russians while they destroy the terrorists we’ve spent so much money training and arming?
We’ve flown 7,000 toothless sorties because Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey invested heavily in recruiting, training, and arming ISIS to depose Assad and they don’t want us destroying them until they’ve finished their mission.
Wait, I thought the Crimea actions were going to sink him? Or his adventure in Georgia. And Chechnya before that.
That might finally get Obama to make some kind of demand on Russia.
Two things, first i don’t care who did this before i care who is doing it NOW.
Second is my major gripe with USA’s foreign policy in general, it’s how the USA claiming to be fighting terrorism when in FACT pretty much every terrorist group in the middle east at least has had connections or training by the CIA or are…
Yes the goal of USA is to take out the Assad and his entire regime but make it seem like they aren’t directly involved, it’s the exact same scenario every time, it was the same with Saddam in Iraq and with El Qaddafi in Lybia .. heck even in Afghanistan it was the same, instead of going directly to war they simply…
Please don’t play dumb, the weapons and supplies the USA and the colaition give to the so called Syrian rebels trained by the CIA (they are nothing but a bunch of thugs and terrorists in fact) they just hand them over to EL Nusra army or ISIS, USA is basically using the terroist groups in Syria as a proxy army by…
Russia claims the US is in Syria illegally, because it wasn’t invited by neither the Syrian government or the UN security council. This seems to be totally avoided in Western media, because it is in fact true
“coalition aircraft going about their anti-ISIS business”— 5 years and 2,600 airstrikes later, ISIS has only grown exponentially. What “ISIS business” is that? Either the US/coalition airforce is inept(unlikely) or their “ISIS business” isn’t about destroying ISIS at all.
It really is a sad day when I realize that the United States, the former symbol of unity, freedom, democracy, and peace, is probably the biggest threat to peace in the Middle East and indeed most of the world.
I think BigNSlow EH is way off base, but September 11th was perpetrated by Saudi Arabians and Bin Laden was hiding out in Pakistan. Our supposed allies. Every action we’ve taken against Afghanistan and Iraq was misguided because our leaders don’t have the guts to demand explanations and get recompense from those who…
Is your whole comment satire? The US doesn’t assassinate leaders? Shit, did someone tell Gaddafi?
Its because most Americans live in this hyper nationalist propaganda driven world that the Soviets would have been proud of. The indoctrination of most Americans is Orwellian in scope
It didn’t succeed because it probably worked and was cheap to build so naturally the military went with something far more expensive, bigger, more exotic, less capable ultimately, etc.
Because there would be no lobbyists to bribe ... educate the Congress critters.
Ah, now we’ll see Lockheed’s core values of strict budgetary discipline, painstaking attention to timetables, and ironclad commitment to capability applied to helicopters in much the same way they have been displayed with the F-35.
