There’s definitely a bigger emphasis on teamfight now in DOTA 2, and on heroes that can teamfight early on and also contribute to their lanes more during the laning stage - less greedy heroes being played, RIP Naga.
However I’ve not seen games getting shorter. I’ve watched half of the International qualifiers so far…

Sometimes, when I play competitively, I turn down every unnecessary graphical, setting for the sake of having as few factors as possible that could cause slowdown.
