She might not even have checked her voicemail yet. I only check daily because my son's school has the habit of leaving "please come do this IMMEDIATELY" voicemails. If I didn't have anything really urgent, I wouldn't check every day. Also, I've heard you crazy kids don't like talking on the phone, so maybe she did

Not really what I asked, but thank you for the concern.

Tricking your child into eating something disgusting: how do I do it?

We all need to be talking about this because this is what the future in Personhood states looks like. Shouldn't it be inconceivable that in this country, hundreds of women thought this is what passes for acceptable healthcare? That's deplorable and pathetic.

Eek! What kind of people have you met?! And, perhaps most importantly, where do they hang out so I can never, ever go there?

NO THEY DIDN'T! What?! How fucking offensive!

Is this assuming the lady brings the gentleman back to her house? Isn't it always easier to go to the other person's house? Then you can be all, "whoops, gotta go, forgot it's my cat's birthday/my aunt died/my house is on fire/etc."

What makes you all think this girl is being used as a prop or not aware of the significance of what she's doing? Do any of you actually have kids? At 8, a kid is perfectly capable of understanding the unfairness behind a bill that will only hurt the children it supposedly "wants" to "help" and wanting to do something

My worst road rage story happened in L.A., too. I was on Robertson, I guess I cut a guy off, and he followed me for three miles honking and yelling. I got out of the car at a red light to ask him WTF the problem was (was he planning on following me home?) and he immediately stopped honking, changed lanes, and ran the

What I'm curious about is... how did this unlicensed "doctor" get access to narcotics? What's happening with drug distribution in the state of Pennsylvania that allowed that to happen? Don't doctors have to have valid license numbers to distribute drugs? I think I'm focusing on that because I don't want to focus on

How about the fact that this guy is clearly disturbed? Who keeps fetuses in jars except psychos? (eta: "Prosecutors have cited the dozens of jars of severed baby feet [...]" *cry*)I bet someone, somewhere, is turning it into a "performing abortions turns people into monsters," argument, ignoring the fact that this man

*tears of sadness because what you said is so true*

What I really want to know is who raises the kind of FUCKING ASSHOLE who rapes a girl and then thinks "I SHOULD PROBABLY SHARE SOME PHOTOS OF THIS!"

I always think it's funny when men and women alike assume certain groups of people are SOOO different from them because of race, ethnicity, religion (and so on and so forth) that talking to them requires some kind of tutorial.

I've often thought that this is the reason bosses don't want discussion of wages at work. My work has an explicit policy in our contracts that prohibits discussing salary with coworkers, and when I have anyway, it's always been because our incentives vary so widely in range (like a $10,000 difference in bonus for

Oh, no, California allows former employers to divulge almost any and all information as long as it is truthful and done without malice. If I said, "she was a disruptive b-tch who was ALWAYS late" that would be truthful but malicious; if I say "our security firm has surveillance of her saying lewd, sexually

Hello again! Actually, dan, if employees sign papers agreeing to at-will employment in an at-will state and no promise of a contract is made, verbally or otherwise, belonging to a protected class, trying to unionize, speaking with a government agency, and retaliation are the only reasons you cannot fire them. Good

Thanks, dan! I am confident because this isn't my first rodeo. Unless you're in Minnesota, I urge you to do some research on employment law. Everything I said is true. Good luck to you too.

In my state employers are protected from lawsuits for giving truthful information about former employees when potential employers call to check references.

I'm going to check Monday w/ my attorney, but just based on the papers it looks like a private civil suit. ANOTHER reason I'm sure it'll get dismissed.
